Like Lightning
I have always been fascinated with lightning. It’s majestic power, that one fleeting moment of pure energy as it rips through the open sky and, of course, its ability to create such impactful art. You see, the thing I love most about lightning is that, if you are properly prepared and know where to look for it, that one split second as the lightning reveals its true energy can be captured forever. With just a little bit of effort something as fleeting as a flash of lightning can become an inspirational work of art to awe the human race for years to come.
Sometimes I feel like life has moments just like that. Quick and rapid experiences that, if not properly prepared for and looked for, can be lost amongst the thousands of other daily tasks.Â
I believe in the ability to learn lessons and draw wisdom from even the simplest of life’s tasks. From walking up a surprisingly steep hill to intentional time for meditation, life is constantly willing to pour into our consciousnesses the bounds of wisdom it has gained over time and the knowledge that great men and women everywhere have donated.
Life is not meant to just be lived, it is meant to be enjoyed, it is meant to be deep, moving, rich, and wonderful. And personal revelation, just like lightning, can be captured and used as a tool to motivate, inspire, and uplift us to reach unreachable heights and do undoable things.
