Then a pause.

Of course, he didn’t understand what she was saying. Maybe it was her brain muddling things up again, or it just wasn’t ‘programmed’ into him to care. Once the remains fell to the ground she knelt down and picked them up, holding them close for a moment before going to her work bench and picking up the blowtorch she used to close wire casings. With the remains held out in one hand, she used the other to burn them into ash, sending his flower representation to nothing.

“And you’re not a hero. You never will be.”

The blowtorch was turned off and put back away, and the ash set on the worktable next to it. She shouldn’t care really about what his goal was or who he even belonged to. She was, however, curious to see who’d made him and what their goal was with him. If it was to kill off Overwatch Agents than she was sure that he was doing that sort of job well.

Before she left the room Nyx turned back to him. “Jackie is making dinner, you’re... fine if you want to feed yourself before you go back to whatever stupid thing you’re doing. There’s a bed upstairs if you want to sleep so long as you promise not to set anything on fire.”

1. Have them have friends! The lonely asexual story is getting really old.

2. Introverted asexuals are cool, but why not have extroverted asexuals?

3. Asexual and Aromantic are not the same thing. Try giving your character a sexless romance.

4. Or have them have sex, that’s cool too! Remember. Asexuality is the lack of sexual attraction, and does not mean the character is opposed to sex.

5. Asexuality varies. If you want your character to be a victim of sexual assault that’s fine, but don’t make this true about every asexual character. Some people don’t want sex and it has nothing to do with past sexual experiences.

6. No more sociopathic asexuals, okay?

7. Don’t paint your asexual character to be the essence of innocence. You can have your asexual swear. They can be rude, like to dance dirty, have crude humour, literally! Anything! Any! Other! Character! Can! Be!

8. Your ace character can be sex repulsed, but do not have that be the defining characteristic of your character. Give them personality.

9. Do not write an ace character just to have your protagonist *suffer* because they love them, but won’t satisfy them sexually. That’s gross.

His posture had changed completely to a point that put her on edge. She frowned a bit.

It was hard for her to bite her tongue on such matters. Here was a man who had actively murdered a few of her dear friends.
