Thanks, Parker, but I think I’ve got it. Ellie and I usually go to dinner together and then spend time here for the holidays. I’m not one for breaking tradition, so we’ll probably do that. I’m sure if Ellie is coming, your cousins will as well. I don’t know if your father’s coming, probably not. Alex spends time with Molly and his parents during Christmas. I think you’re right about the space, but I’ll just have Brendan move some things around and we’ll be good to go.

Excellent! That’s okay, we can have a good Christmas without dad around.

Is dad coming? Is dad not coming? Are we inviting all the cousins? Is Uncle Alex invited even though he's still a bit different. What about everyone else? Are we going to do it here? If we do, I don't think we have the space. But I do like your apartment, it's just tiny, you know? [Bites into a cookie] Brendan is right, these are delicious.

Nope, sorry. You’ve got kids now. One of the responsibilities means sharing cookies with them. Let’s just eat them before Evan shows up.

I can actually acknowledge that she's being a bit over the edge, but she did just die. Most folks don't come back the same, especially if they don't choose to deal with what happened to them. She's a lot more innocent than the rest of us, but she has some of the strongest opinions. Cleo... She is hard to talk to at times, but that isn't something that needs to be thrown in her face. It's not like she doesn't know and it's not like it doesn't haunt her all the time.
