I have learned over time this lesson: if my theology conflicts with Jesus, too bad for my theology. Jesus wins.

This is 5-year-old Scott Miles. He suffers from cancer and his biggest dream was to be Batman and save Gotham City, so the ‘Make A Wish’ foundation made his dream come true. They cordoned off the entire city of San Francisco and let Miles aka ‘Batkid’ chase criminals for 5 hours. The police of San Francisco tweeted ‘Batkid caught the Riddler’ and Barack Obama sent him a video message. I love this.

Sometimes when people are drowning, they don’t need the Greek definition of ‘drowning’ - they need a life raft.

I think we all have a desire to help people, to fix them. But two broken things cannot fix each other; our job is to love others. Christ’s restoration can only come when we have effectively shown those around us that we can love because Christ has worked in our lives. We must not try and take the place of the carpenter when we have no knowledge of that craft.

Why would I pay the price to make My children well if I wanted them sick?
