counter proposal : that’s the very reason Eraqus ended up training Terra & Aqua so hard about squishing the darkness away. he never got to really see The Human Way Of Living which is validly having a balance

         ❛ bold of you to assume that i don’t have any plans eraqus. ❜  xehanort did not, in fact, have any plans for today but he refused to actively admit it. a day consisting of doing nothing productive wasn’t entirely appealing to him but he couldn’t deny that the younger boy’s excitement was annoyingly infectious. eraqus did also have more responsibilities than him ━━━ burdens forced on him due to his noble blood. xehanort couldn’t entirely fault his friend’s eagerness to make the most out of his momentary freedom.

       he hopped over a step to finally reach the bottom of the staircase, still listening carefully as eraqus began to fumble over his words as brought up other worlds. a sly smirk formed across xehanort’s lips as he struggled to stifle a laugh. for someone who was practically royalty, eraqus never seemed to actually speak like it. ❛ are you even allowed to leave yet? ❜ xehanort questioned as he placed a hand on his hip, a look of skepticism in his eyes. ❛ besides i don’t even know where we could go. ❜

             ❛     not by myself, no.    but you’ll keep me safe,  won’t you?     ❜     a teasing lilt accompanied by the most effortlessly innocent smile he could manage forming sweetly over his lips.  it wasn’t until recently that he was granted permission to venture out to another world,  but with the exception of being escorted by one of his elders.  they took more precautions with him than he’d like at this age.  ---but he thought as long as he was with xehanort,  he wouldn’t mind the company for once.  in fact,  the idea of traveling worlds with xehanort by his side made his heart pound.
