[An attached video clip shows one button quail in immediate focus, with a few blurrier in the background. The background birds hold themselves a little oddly- there's nothing visibly wrong with them, but there's something a little uncanny about them. The one in focus is different, and stands out by being luminous, even in the daylight. There's a warm glow to this tiny bird, and there's a dark, disembodied vine hovering above it, poking it on the crown of its head as a chorus of half-whispering voices calls it goofy, a nightlight, chastises it for getting into places it shouldn't, being a greedy eater, any number of teasing insults that overlap as if they should be saying something much more ominous than this. With every poke the bird's entire body sort of bounces, giving very little resistance, and yet at no point is it bothered enough to move away, only getting distracted by a halfhearted attempt to peck a leaf off of the vine when it's conveniently in sight.]

i wonder which of us is taller now... I think being a plant is cheating, actually.
