1. Which one is outside everyday and which is living by the fan? You want to go out and do everything summer has to offer, particularly the local beaches! Meanwhile Cedric is definitely more interested in the indoor activities - you guys often argue about how youāre going to spend your summer days! indoors or outside, lol!
2. Who lays out in the sun all day and who helps them when they get sun burns? You, for sure. You dragged Cedric to the beach to go play volleyball and surfā¦..but ended up forgetting that sunscreen was necessary in the summer heat and sun. You are SUPER pissed off and cranky by the end of the day and he has to take care of you. He teases you just the tiniest bit about it, though.
3. Whoās more likely to chase after an ice cream truck and who watches from the cool safety of their home? Neither of you are likely to do it, tbh. But if one of you is doing it over the otherā¦..youāre the one chasing after it while Cedric watches from inside. Heās laughing to himself the entire time of the site of his S/O just running after a fucking ice cream truck.Ā

I stayed pretty quiet on the Tom Wilson suspension because you guys can be vicious in my ask box, but the truth is, he deserved the suspension. I love him, I love his personality, and yeah heās hot, but the hit was dirty, most of his past hits were dirty, and he needs to figure his shit out.

It had been exactly one week since you and your friend Mikhail had taken things to the next level of your relationship after a night of many drinks. But yet by the way he was acting you would believe absolutely nothing had happened and that the two of you were strangers. In all your time of knowing the twenty year old since heād moved to Tampa, you had never seen him act so cold and distant from you. He always had an aura of bluntnessā¦..but it was never icy. At least it wasnāt around you. You were sick of the feeling in the stomach every-time you saw him. The hope he would say something, or at the very least he admitted it had happened. Even without the cold behavior you knew his utter denial of the fact it happened would drive you to near madness otherwise.
So you had decided enough was enough. It wasnāt too long of a walk from your apartment building to his, so you braved the warm and quite humid air for the sake of your relationship with him. You were almost afraid Mikhail wouldnāt let you into the building once you got the front steps and intercom. That he would send you packing as if you were no one - especially when he didnāt answer it quickly. But a familiar buzz rang out and you sighed with relief as you hurried into his building.
You knocked on his door quickly. The confidence and determination you had felt was quickly slipping away, being replaced with a sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach. Were you making a mistake? Maybe this was better left unresolved. Maybe things could go back to normal! Maybe youāre just -
The door opened and it snapped you from your thoughts. You looked over at Mikhail with wide and clearly nervous eyes. He was wearing a simple hoodie and gym shorts. You wanted to curse. It wasnāt fair that he could look that good in his casual clothes. Especially when you were supposed to be focusing on something that was awfully serious. You frowned gently as you stepped forward just a bit, āMay I come in?ā You asked.
Mikhail nodded simply. He didnāt say or do anything else but stepped away from the door so you could step inside his apartment. Any time before last week you would have been met with a smile and hug. But that already felt worlds away from the scene in front of you. You werenāt sure if you should be mad at yourself or not for letting such a thing come between your amazing friendship with him.
You stepped inside of his apartment and shrugged off your small hoodie. You placed it on his coat rack to your left, it was like instinct to you by this point. You walked into his kitchen and stood at his small island countertop and he followed quickly, leaning up against his fridge. The silence was deafening between the two of you. It was so awkward - if anyone else had been there they would have undoubtedly cringed.
āMisha, weāve got to talk about what happened. Whatās happening now. I - We canāt live like this.ā You said after a few minutes of silence. It was clear that if you didnāt start this conversation it would never happen. It wasnāt easy but it had to be said. Simple and quick. Like ripping a band-aid off.
āWhat do you mean, Y/N? I donāt understand.ā Mikhail replied. You knew he was totally bullshitting you. He was avoiding your gaze as if looking at you would somehow make him spontaneously combust. He didnāt mean or want to hurt you, deep down. But Mikhail wasnāt sure what else he could do about what happened but ignore it.
āYou know damn well what Iām talking about.ā You said back to him as you crossed your arms and sighed. This was so frustrating! Like talking to some sort of brick wall. You took a moment to center yourself and breath, knowing if you didnāt youād snap.
āI donāt think I do, Y/N.ā He countered back. Mikhail fiddled with the drawstrings of his hoodie gently. It was so awkward and uncomfortable. It felt strange to the both of you - to have this kind of emotional wall between you two. Maybe thatās why what happened had come so naturally, you guys were already so comfortable around another.
āReally? Really? You donāt remember what happened? Well here, Iāll remind you! We slept together. And after that you basically acted as if you didnāt know me, Mikhail. And youāre standing here right now still as if you donāt know what we did.ā Your voiced was raising higher and higher as you spoke. You had lost your fuse, even if you had fought against it. A flip had been switched by his response for whatever reason. āYou canāt keep acting like this didnāt happen! Because guess what? It did!ā You added with another shout, although this time you were tearing up a bit.
āY/Nā¦.I-ā Mikhail cut himself off. He was finally making eye-contact with you, somewhat forced to after your outburst. He felt awful for making you feel this way. He knew that it took a special kind of pain to make you this mad, and it was a terrible feeling to know heās the one who caused it. He walked forward and slowly put his arms around you in a gentle hug. You didnāt fight the embrace, too busy crying to really care or notice.
āIām sorry, Y/N. I didnāt - I thought if I ignored it I could erase how I feel about you.ā Mikhail whispered after a moment. He rubbed your back softly and slowly in an attempt to calm you down. It worked only a bit - your sobs subduing slowly but surely. You were trying to think about his words. How he felt about you. What did that mean?
āW-what do you feel about me?ā You asked him softly in between sniffles. You looked up at him with wide eyes, biting your lip as you waited for some sort of reply. You had a sinking suspicion to what it was but didnāt want to jump into any conclusions. There was always the chance you could be wrong.
Mikhail laughed in response. Not out of malice or anything like that, but because he found it genuinely endearing you had to ask. He looked down at you with a soft gaze and gentle smile, āI like you. A lot. Way more than a friend should like a friend. I - I guess thatās why I pushed you away.ā
You just nodded instead of saying anything. You needed a moment to process everything and form your official opinion on it. What he was saying made sense. It would explain all the longing glances and extra teasing from his teammates lately, even before the incident. You honestly couldnāt believe this had been in front of you the entire time and you hadnāt realized it.
āMikhail. I - I like you too. Iām upset with you still, but I really do like you.ā You told him. You were sure you would get over this sooner than later, probably within the night. It was hard to stay mad at him. Mikhail was so endearing and sweet even when he wasnāt trying to be. Maybe thatās why you two were such a good pair. You were both endearingly innocent and sweet. So young and excited about the world before you.
Mikhail smiled as if he had just won the stanley cup. It wasnāt really the best way to admit feelings like this, in the midst of a fight. But he was glad it was finally out there. He didnāt have to keep acting like you didnāt bright up every day for him. That his heart didnāt beat out of his chest anytime you smiled. He leaned forward carefully to kiss your cheek. It was simple and soft. The perfect kick-off to this new relationship for the two of you.
