A smile curled upon Cyrran’s lips. He would have left if Light wanted him to, but he was rather glad that they didn’t have to end their meeting just yet. Since the ball, there had not been many opportunities to converse, and before that, there had been… Hell, put simply. It was nice to relax like this and enjoy a friend’s company if only for a short while. So, pushing himself to his feet and wandering to a bed of flowers to survey them, the elf hummed thoughtfully.

“Damn, you know, I don’t think I quite thought that wording through. You got me there.” The ease in Light’s tone is reassuring. “I… hell, what have I been up to? Not all too much. Taking life day by day, meeting new people here and there… still don’t have a job, though…”

Thinking back to their conversation at the ball, he grins widely.

  The pitfalls of being a ghoul. Restaurants were a thing of rarity for the halfling, becoming more or less a spectator than partaking in the tasting of assorted foods. They all tasted quite awful, anyway. No five star restaurant that placed a major dent in his wallet ever justified its price, because his select choice of meat was taboo. So why on earth did he find himself at the grand opening of another restaurant? Friendship, of course. Arima mentioned expanding his pool of contacts beyond the office. Though he was innately bashful, Haise was willing to step out of his comfort zone—if only for the evening.

Light’s head quirked towards the other’s direction as his fingers stilled on the page, pausing on the raised bumps of the menu. Honestly, he hadn’t figured it out himself yet. It was just on a whim he decided to come see what the commotion had been all about, finding himself at the opening of a new restaurant. Not that he minded, he was always looking for new places to eat.

I’m using my favorite Light icon to show that this is my permanent starter call. I’ve seen a bunch of these floating around, but I’m still not entirely sure how they work lmao. I guess I’ll just list the kinds of relationships I want for Light and if people are interested, they can contact me about it or like this post and I’ll contact them.

Friends: This is sort of self explanatory. Light has a close knit group of people ranging from best friends to acquaintances and I’m always looking for more people to add to that list.

Housemates: This is mostly for people Light is already close to, though we can always talk about the progression from stranger to friend to close friend to housemate, though that might take a little bit of time.

Siblings: Light is an older brother and those instincts are very ingrained in him. He likes taking care of younger children and can be incredibly protective. I’m also interested in maybe finding someone to be more of a older sibling figure to him, since that’s not anything I’ve ever gotten to really explore.

Parental figure: This is actually something I’m hesitant to play out, but am really curious and interested in doing. In my headcanon, Light’s always had a really rocky and complicated relationship with his parents, with an overbearing but well meaning(?) mother and an almost absent but loving father, so people who remind him of that often put him off. I’m hoping to maybe rp him getting over that with someone who really cares about him.

Frienemies/Sarcasm buddies: God, please, if there’s one thing I’ve always wanted while roleplaying Light, it’s someone who can take what his snarky and dish it out just as well. Basically a friend who’s just as much of a subtle little shit and Light is.

Enemy: *INHALES* BOI. I want nothing more than for Light to completely and totally hate someone. He needs an enemy, an arch nemesis, someone who he can hate and fight with, physically or verbally or both. Please both. I haven’t ever really got to play that side of him either, but I really want to and I think it could work really well.

Privately, the elf felt almost warmed that he seemed to be trusted enough to see such a side to his friend. But he kept this to himself, quiet as he folded his arms across his chest and observing as Light watered the flowers. His care for the plants brought a bit of a smile to the Inquisitor’s lips, tilting his head and almost imagining the joy the greenery must be feeling. Upon hearing Light’s question, he blinked quickly.

“Light! Hello!”

Guy turns, expression lighting up to see a familiar face. It had indeed been too long. He honestly had been meaning to shoot him a text or something after their dance and conversation at the Midsummer Ball, but… it must have gotten away from him.

“I’ve never been to any sort of den like that, and I have no plans to. If there’s anyone who will undress me, it will be you or myself.

“Yes, it’s outside.” He confirmed, leaning against Anders’ side easily as they left the house, making sure to lock up before they ventured further. “What would you like to eat?”

“You just said it’d be lovely, you liar.” He grins - the sound is clear in his voice. “So is it lovely - or would you prefer not to go? You can’t have it both ways, love.”

“As lovely as that is, I think most of it would be lost on me. I wouldn’t be able to see the wonderful things around us.” Light gave a small snort, though it was not unkind. After a moment, he tugged on a nice navy blue pea coat, though the color or how good it for his body was lost on him. He just knew it felt nice, that was what he cared about most.

“For now, it’s a secret. But we’ll grab food on the way, make something of a picnic out of it.”

“At any good den of inequity, there is plenty to experience with every sense, not just sight. Clearly you’ve never been to any quality ones. I’ll have to change this.” After Light’s coat and his robe is on, he locks his arm with Light, smiling faintly.
