Bay Leaf | This is a terrific herb for magical efforts involving athletics, competition, and victory. It also removes negative energy, protects health, and boosts any work involving love, divination, and wishes.

Chamomile | Known to many as the gamblers herb, luck in games of chance is only one of chamomile magical facets. Its great for prophetic dreaming and sound sleep, protection, and hex-breaking. Try it, too, for matters of the heart. A little goes a long way when it comes to love and romance. There are 2 types of chamomile, German and Roman. Roman chamomile should not be ingested by pregnant women.

Cinnamon | Because it vibrates on such a highly spiritual level, this herb is nearly indispensable. It works well for any efforts involving prosperity, love, lust, success, physical energy, and divinatory purposes.

Cloves | This herb works beautifully when it comes to relieving depression, grief, and anxiety. Its also an effective medicine magical herb for issues involving lust, love, luck, and money.

Ginger | Try this herb to increase psychic ability, health, personal power, and general success.

Lavender | Used primarily for protection, lavender also works wonders in efforts that deal with easy childbirth, mental and physical healing, peaceful sleep, love, and longevity.

Mugwort | Since smoking this herb or drinking its infusion induces an altered state of consciousness conducive to psychic awareness, mugwort is commonly known as the "witches herb." The infusion is also used as a magical wash for scrying mirrors, crystal balls, and pendulums. Mugwort should not be ingested by pregnant women.

Nutmeg | This herb works well in magical efforts where love, money, luck, and health are at issue. Nutmeg is not safe when used internally at more than 5 grams at a time.

Sage | Used as a main ingredient in Native American smudge sticks, sage removed negative energy and its residue from areas, buildings, and people, when burned. It also works well for efforts involving good health and fortune, wisdom, long life, and wishes.

People may think that the vikings were all about men and virility, but women played a big, if not bigger part than them in their society. For example, the Völur (singular=Völva), who were very important women. They were witches who always traveled with wands as big as walking sticks, which were burried with them at the time of their death. The name Völva literally means “wand-wed”. They were unmarried wise women and priestesses, that served as healers and diviners, and were held in great esteem. In fact, they were so valued that they could travel alone with no fear, and be welcome to any village or hearth they passed by. A clan’s chief would always let a Völva sit at the end of the table, showing that she was a higher authority than them. Of course, the Völur weren’t the only important females in viking society. There was also the Blótgydiur (sacrificial priestesses), and the Hóvgydiur (temple priestesses), who were devotees of the god Freyr, and were considered his wives. 

Village women were also very valued, and were in charge of the household money because they were believed to be magic and have the hability to see in the future. When a viking man mistreated his lady, she was allowed to cut off his genitals and hang them in her home. If a woman divorced her husband, HE would be the one shamed for being divorced, because he didn’t treat his wife right. Men weren’t even allowed to touch a woman’s hand if she hadn’t agreed to it or he would be punished by law. Viking women were strong and always ready for battle. In fact, a recent archeological discovery has proved that half the viking warriors were female. The remains found in burial sites were first misidentified and thought to be male skeletons, just because they were buried with swords and shields. But studying osteological signs of gender within the bones, reaserchers discovered that aproximately half the skeletons belonged to women, who were given a proper burial with their weapons.

Honestly, I understand that men are going to call themselves witches no matter what. The fact is though that every other religion deifies the male. Buddhism and Hinduism believe that if a woman is virtuous enough she could be reborn as a man, because women are incapable of reaching nirvana. Abrahamic religions have hated females since they were invented.

And then witchcraft exists worshiping and glorifying the female power to create life! Women are the world! I’m not literally the cause of humanity’s greatest evils, I’m built in the image of the goddess herself!

And then men want it. It’s not enough they have not one but every other established religion on earth for them to have their egos stroked by the God they made in their image. Now they want ours too.

It was used for a whole heap of reasons, her not getting pregnant, being ugly, her getting pregnant after years of not being, her being too pretty etc. Women being women got them called witch and burned.

I was called witch (and many other derogatory to females words) because I didn’t let a man harm me.

My friends were called witches because they said no to men.

My sisters were abused for being witches and driven out of town

My fore sisters were murdered for being a witch because they were women.

My fore sisters were murdered by men, and I have no sympathy now that they want in.
