Dark Spyro

“Personally, my past is none of his concern. I’m better now anyways. All that matters is destroying the core of light.”

Spyro was about to make a snarky comment about the feather as he saw his even self shiver at the mention of who.. or whatever he was talking about.

He’d gotten to know his other half a lot better when he was  stuck with the other in control.. The only other that got a shiver out of him was Strykore, this one wasn’t as noticable but still, enough to warrant caution.  He caught the feather.. who could it belong to? He’d have to warn the others…

“But who else took the potion? Who’s feather is this?” He had to find out as much as he could.

“A former student of Eon’s. Although they’ve been pretty much off to the side for the past few years. Ever since they were stuck into the beam of light from the core of light after having their light sucked out, they’ve been looking for a way to get rid of the darkness for good. So I think you can assume what happened after that.” Dark Spyro chuckled a little bit. “Her other half just let her go. Clearly she was too scared to face the embodiment of her failures.”

“Nah, I heard you alright. But you’re also the bigger liar between us. You acted like me for weeks after Strykore brought you out… and these plans so far.. didn’t really work out for ya, did they?”

“Why should I believe you on this? Proof or it didn’t happen.”

“My plans didn’t work because of the stupid Skylanders and your feelings getting in the way. So without you and with someone who knows them very well, it’ll be a piece of cake.” He did sound quite confident in his ally.

“Fine. Lemme find something.” He began scratching around his scales for a moment. Finally grabbing something that was stuck inbetween them. A large black feather that he basically threw back at Spyro. “It sheds all the time, which would be fine if they kept in their own personal space.” He shivered slightly. Clearly his ally unnerved him at least a bit. Although much less than Strykore.

“Oh please, I’d rather burn him to a pulp instead.”

“Yeah, sure.. I’ll schedule it right after the party celebrating Hugo getting rid of his weird sheep phobia.”

“Or are you gonna tell me about what you evil mastermind came up with before that?” He added in a sarcastic tone. Man, this felt almost therapeutic.

“Oh, do tell me. What have you been up to?”

Spyro said, still with his cocky attitude while immitating a stereotypic gossipy tone.  He remembered the feelings he witnessed while they were still one.. he was confident his dark counterpart wouldn’t really be able to find real allies.. at least not this quickly.  And who even? Strykore was safely sealed away again.. Kaos, his Glumshankses and after Golden Queen was captured, by now all of the Doom Raiders were behind bars in Cloudcracker.. looking at someone like Malefor.. he’d probably still want to destroy him.. Good or Evil.

“You’ll find out sooner or later. No need to tell you now.” He wasn’t so stupid as to divulge his plans so soon. That basically defeats the entire plan right away. Not that there even was a plan at the moment. Just a few contacts. “It isn’t someone you’ve seen before we were split.”

“Well, kind of.” He corrected himself. “It’s hard to explain.”

Spyro looked in a moment of silence as he heard the words… yes, he didn’t have any influence with both dragons being their own entities now.. Yet, there was a thing his other half DIDN’T have..

“And if noone is holding you down..  who’s gonna help you with your plans?” he replied with a cocky smirk.  “You couldn’t beat me Dragon on Dragon.. and I still have my friends. And you?”

     Oh,  Spyro  could  never  forget  such  a  “power”  they  both  shared—  but  it  was  worth  the  comment  to  see  his  dark  counterpart  only  get  more  annoyed.   Was  this  his  way  to  cope  with  the  entire  situation?   Maybe.   But—  that  was  nothing  Dark  needed  to  know.

     ❝ Sure,  I  believe  that.   You  should  be  in  TOP  SHAPE—  since  you’re  technically  me.   But  if  you  need  some  extra  practiceeeeee   .  .  .   I  wouldn’t  mind  excusing  you  from  the  class  today  to  get  a  bonus  training  session  in.~   Just  say  the  word,  buddy. ❞

“I’d rather go to class instead of hanging out with my lesser half.”
