Of course she'd want to insert herself in a situation in which she doesn't belong. Seemingly willing to do anything to be by his side. It doesn't go unnoticed. In fact, Hux has taken a liking to referring to her as his lap dog. The irritation this brings him only makes the red haired general do it more. Which has led to him already being on edge.

"You may be able to slip that attitude past Kylo Ren, though I can't imagine how you possibly do it, but it will not be tolerated with me." Hux's face had nearly turned as red as his hair as he spoke to Kayla. He wasn't sure what the young and utterly strange girl was going through, but he had no sympathy for it. "So either fix whatever the hell is wrong with you or get out of my way."

"And yet you refuse to rest." Kylo said, not a question, but a statement. An astute observation if you will. "This is a moment where I will say do as I say and not as I do. You need to allow yourself to lie down. Close your eyes. Stop. Thinking."

"Of course you notice." There's a bit of bitterness to his tone, though he's not exactly sure why. Dark eyes look upon, holding questions and judgment.

"But why? That's what I would like to know. Why do you care so much..."

The simple gesture of a rose shouldn’t have made her heart beat as fast as it did. Perhaps she felt a bit nostalgic seeing a rose as well, since not every world had them and it has been some time since she’s seen one. His behavior was also quite cute. “If it’s such a silly holiday then why are you giving me a rose?” She teased just a bit.

Kylo’s nose scrunches in displeasure at her teasing. It’s nice to see her smile though, he admits.

Distracted. An uncommon adjective to describe the Knight Of Ren, especially in meetings such as these. He had left feeling clueless and something else. Was it anger that flared in his gut? He wanted to grab something and destroy it -- to absolutely wreck something into oblivion, more specifically, whoever had been thinking such god awfully lewd thoughts of him aboard his ship.

Now, he was set on locating said person. Even though whoever it was had stopped thinking about such actions and had dulled into the buzzing hum of everyone else around him’s thoughts. His mind was made up. Much to his luck, the thoughts came again. Visions that led him straight to her. The girl who had been so eager to try to get him to open up. What had been her god awful name again?

“Kayla!” The name left his lips, muffled robotically by the mask he wore. Him saying it seemingly in time with her daydream of him. He grabs her shoulder roughly, turning her to look at him and thank the force the thoughts stop admittedly then.
