Don’t forget that dressing the part is half the battle. If you are a black girl sorry to say but you will be watched closer than any white female counterparts.if you live-in/lift-in a white area people already think youre stealing. I didn’t make the rules sorry.
It’s a bad idea to:
-wear dreadlock cuffs or beads in your dreads/braids(calls attention)
-were cornrows or afro (makes you stand out)
- have you booty poppin out of short shorts (we know your slim thick, but LP doesn’t need to know)
- have long colourful nails (draws attention to hands)
You should dress as “basic bitch” as possible:
* Black tights
*flowy Shirt that covers poppin booty
*minimal accessories
*some cute studs
*running shoes (no flashy shoes)
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON’T LAY YOUR EDGES ALL BIG. WHITE PEOPLE FIND THAT SHIT FASCINATING AS HELL.
I know not all black girls do these things. We’re all different, but for the ones who share some of the same styles as me here are my tips don’t get butt hurt and goodbye.
look, I hate jeff bezos as much as the next decent person, but stealing shit from amazon is not fucking over amazon the company in the same way that yelling at the mcdonalds employee doesn't increase how much they pay there workers. a lot of things sold on amazon are sold by resellers doing it as a side gig who make a realatively small profit doing it, and while some of the people selling on amazon are fair game, a lot of people aren't. make sure to check the seller you are buying from before doing a dna.
Always check whos supplying the product!! If its supplied by Amazon warehouse or a big company its fair game.

reminder that you really shouldn’t be steeling truckloads of stuff at once from one store. like listen im not gonna police or shame people for it. you took advantage of a rare opportunity and i can’t blame you for that etc etc. but don’t forget. that’s how security gets increased/lp are hired/cameras are installed and other lfters no longer have the opportunity to lft at that store. i see haul posts about steeling every copic at once from a store and look at my own mchaels that has the copics locked up so i can’t even steel so much as one unless it’s been accidentally left out. and the reason they’ve been locked up? you guessed it. someone took so many markers at once that the store noticed and installed extra security measures. please just remember when you steel it’s not just about how much you can get away with, but how much you can get away with without lp immediately noticing.
This soooo much. When you’re sloppy you hurt the community. Another big thing: if you are gonna do this, don’t leave behind the fuckin packaging. It gives the store evidence to go back in their camera and SEE you steel it (that is if you conceal on camera)

why i lift
we are okay. my family lives. we aren’t starving. we are fine. however everytime i need something and it costs money its always “do you really need it?” “cant you just glue up your winter boots?” “you don’t need a new coat this one is fine”
yes i could glue up my boots. they would fall apart again, look horrible and i would feel very embarrassed having visibly broken boots amongst my rich friends that can just get a brand new pair.
yes i could wear the coat and bras my sister gave me. they would keep me warm but the coats are to big and the bras don’t fit because shes 20cm taller than me.
i could just not get school books but my library card ran out and it wont be free anymore since im turning 18.
yes i could stop shoplifting snacks but im saving any little money i get from you for college so one day i will have a job that allows me to get my kids anything they need and want. i dont want them to wear glued up boots and hand me down coats. i want them to feel confident and happy in the clothes they wear. i want them to have a trust fund so that they dont have to save up every cent for college in the future.
lifting isnt just for people who are struggling. people lift to fit in to society. to go to college. there wouldnt be a need to lift if we wouldnt live under oppressive capitalism that tries to tell you that if you can eat and have the basics, you’re doing okay. we need a system that supports the working class, the working single parents, the drop outs, the ones that dont want to pursue higher education. we need to support every single persons dreams and ideas. its not utopia is a very realistic thing. its only hindrance is the greed of large corporations

Have you ever ļîfťėđ balls of yarn? Do you have any tips if you have? I recently started crocheting but holy shit yarn is expensive
i haven’t 😫😫😰 all i can say is that craft stores tend to be hella easy to lift from in my experience! i think if it were me i would use that method where you carry a coat or hoodie w u, seal off a sleeve so that it becomes a lil bag, and stuff balls of yarn down there whenever ur in the clear. you could take a bunch and hold them like ur comparing colours while tucking a couple into the sleeve before putting the rest back. but i don’t know the layout of your craft store so u might want to change the method a lil if what i’ve said isn’t feasible
a method I use frequently for yarn is to bring a shopping bag/shoulder bag, put some of the yarn you already have in it, and if you're asked about it you can say you just brought some for colour matching, and then it's just a matter of stuffing as much as you can into your bag without it looking sus! you can also just show the chasiers your yarn as soon as you enter if you don't wanna get asked :)

how do you lift shoes? I am so scared because they can be baulky and there’s two of them😂
I usually pick them up together and hold them in one hand, then pull my hand back under something I was already carrying. Usually a jacket I came in with, so SAs wont try and take it from me when going into a fitting room. And yes, you CAN bring jackets around in the summer without looking weird.
Sometimes I just keep them there and walk out, or if I have a large enough structured bag I’ll make sure it was full-ish when I came in and conceal them at the bottom.
