Hello beautiful people, I’ve seen a fair few people wonder if shoplifting will give them bad karma, have negative affect on their luck, energies they attract, etc. And here’s the take on it;

Lifting is a victimless crime. It does not directly hurt innocent people. It does not cause harm to others. If companies penalize wages or work times as a result of “losses”, that’s highly illegal and they’re fucking you over. For me & many others, It’s a way to protest against and not contribute to the regulation of evil, faceless corporations who don’t care about us. 

These big corporations we lift from continue to do things so awful we can never even begin to imagine the heft of them. If I was to buy from them instead of lift, I’d be doing nothing but supporting the fucked up shit they do. This includes child exploitation & labour, unsafe & extremely dangerous working conditions, huge contribution to pollution, creating excess waste, discrimination and abuse, disregard of employees, greedy & shady intentions, etc).

Since the basis of karma is “good or bad luck, viewed as resulting from one’s actions”, lifting does not come into this category of “bad karma”, because if I’m being honest, I really don’t think supporting these companies would give anyone good karma.

One way or another, these companies need a bit of karma in return. Which most believe comes in the form of things such as losses due to shoplifting. 

The only bad karma you could gain from lifting is stealing from Mom & Pop or locally owned stores as there are real, innocent people behind them who rely on their income.

♥️ If you believe in karma & higher beings, please don’t ever feel guilty or scared of lifting, because these “higher beings” are on your side. Whether that be in the form of gut feelings to tell us when to ditch our stuff, or clueless SA’s & unattended fitting rooms. ♥️

Semi embarrassing story time. I'm gonna tell this so y'all learn from my mistakes.

I miss lifting so much rn!! So I was at a store picking up something I needed and the was a Tárgët next store. I thought to myself "I'll go in t@rgët and see if they sell scrubs and just buy some because my job reimburses me"

I never go to târgët because I've heard too much about their lp and I think of them as an expensive store. But mainly I don't wanna go somewhere I can't steal. So I'm looking for scrubs and see some cute underwear. I'm bending down looking at them and I'm like "I can conceal these really easily just right here" so I ball them up and stick them in my pocket while I'm browsing. I don't see any obvious security tags on them. That's my mistake! I know nothing about tårgët security because I don't ever go there!!

So they don't have any scrubs so I'm just leaving after asking an employee if they carry them. I walk out w a big family w lots of kids just in case.

The alarms didn't go off but when I got back to my car and saw that rfid, I was so worried. And I saw someone wearing a shirt that said security walking away from my car. That tag was literally sewn to the underwear so you couldn't see the rfid easily but I should have noticed.

I'm also thinking about security towers in tårgët and wondering if they loudly beep or if they just tell lp there's been a theft?? Maybe that's silly.

-v/s, p/ink: obvi exclusive sizing and branding, plus gross sexual assault reports from models and female workers

-u/o: ceo is the worst. donated to anti-lgbt political campaign but still profits off of progressive pro-lgbt marketing and clothing. staff in the us are asked to work free weekends. also steals small independent company designs and significant designs from various cultures. remember their many, many insensitive designs? easily googlable !! 

-uniq/lo: overworks their workers in bad conditions w bad pay in a bad bullying culture

-prim/ark: remember the sos stitching and note from a chinese worker claiming they were worked like “oxen” scandal? maybe a hoax, but stay away anyway. (or do stay there. but steal lol)

-ga/p: tons of labour issues. allegations of forcing a woman to get an abortion, unpaid labour, etc.

-aritzia: donated to blm, but black employees report disrespect and even getting fired for speaking out

-reformation: sure, sustainable, but super racist corporate culture. consistently choosing white over black, better qualified employees for promotions. founder ignores black employees and posted a photo of herself w fried chicken for “black history month”. rob that overpriced bs !!!!
