I saw this post a while back and thought I should try it out. didn’t work. only thing that happened was the tag looked like someone had really obviously tried to tamper with it. come across the same post two months later - and of course, it’s from a roleplay blog be careful where you source your tips from folks

When you can literally have anything you want it stops being all that magical (but like in a good way)

Underrated tip, just take the hanger with you

Tips for this? Hangers are too big to fit in my bag and when I body conceal I find it hard to not have it visibly poke out

If the hangers are plastic, i’ll sometimes break them in two or three pieces to put them in my bag! you know how brittle plastic can be bent very quietly if you heat it with your hands and warm it up? i just bend it slowly until it either folds or breaks - plus i muffle the sound by pressing it against my stomach😋😋 alternately, you could either bring a shopping bag large enough to fit a hanger in, or tie it to your body under your clothes with some elastic - if you tie it around your waist and slip either end into your waistband or bra, you can carry it out no problem😊 loose clothes should be worn for the last one to work, so that ppl don’t notice the hanger shape lol. I like to just wear my oversized denim jacket for this one tho

Well my book store has relatively few cameras and has tight isles i literally got 3 books and purchased one so I could get the bag, they are a tad lazy. Just be really subtle and act like you are looking at them, you can get a bunch of books and fiddle with them, do really sly drops into purses. Just be careful. I don’t know if that was just rambling or not

My fave method is getting a stack of books and as long as you manage to stay calm and relaxed you can go to the Starbucks, get a drink if you want, and then flip through the books to check for RFIDs. Then literally just shove them in your backpack and leave. Everyone will assume you’d just bought them

Oh my gosh thank you guys, this is so helpful. I can’t wait to try this out. Book RFIDs are the ain’t sticked in the books right? They’re the white ones that are separate and fall out? Gosh sorry if i have so much questions I really don’t want to beep cause I think they’ll chase you out lol.

Nah, depends on the store but it’s likely that they’re stickers on the pages. I’ve also seen things about people finding RFIDs IN THE COVER so be super careful of that, but I’ve never personally found anything like it
