Chapter 29

Sometimes we confuse exhaustion with failure. You feel tired, and the world tells you to try harder, to be stronger, to keep moving. But there are moments when the most honest thing we can do is take a break and paused. You don’t owe productivity to your pain. We are allowed to sit with what we feel and still be worthy of peace.

The social attitude regarding age is consistently getting weirder. You’re not ‘pushing 30’ you’re just in your late 20s. 30 is not old and neither is 40 while I’m at it. Growing older is an enormous privilege and displaying that age is a gorgeous component of life. Spending your days trying to reverse that grace breeds an eternally wasted life.

no offence but I hate when people my age start projecting their own fears and ideas about aging and youth onto me. girl sorry but I’m young and beautiful if you think women in their late 20s onwards are worthless old hags who have run out of time that’s a personal problem
