Chronic Migraine Life

They just played Year 3000 in this restaurant as if we’re back in 2006 and I’m loving it

Today was day one of my grad school orientation and I’m so happy to be getting a degree in a field I’m passionate about

Omg my mom literally just said that she tried medication once and didn’t like how it made her feel, so she got off it. What the fuck mom. You don’t get a medal and you can’t convince me to just stop taking my meds, which I need to function every day, because you decided they weren’t for you. I told her I could go blind if I stop and that I trust my doctors and would she kindly never bring of medical advice ever again

Aaahhhhhhh I’m giving my two weeks’ notice at my job tomorrow and I’m super duper nervous. But I’m looking forward to a summer of chilling before starting grad school this fall!

That spoonie feel when your pharmacy texts you about a prescription using the first three letters, but that doesn’t help because 2 of your meds start with those letters.

I was just hit by a wave of mega-exhaustion and I’m conflicted because I so want to sleep but it’s not even 6:45 pm. I’m fighting to stay awake right now but like I may just give up and sleep and deal with the consequences when I wake up in the middle of the night. Idk what to do ahhh

As if I don’t see enough doctors for my chronic illnesses, I’m adding a new one to the mix. Seeing an orthopedic surgeon in a few weeks.

Currently heading to the ER. Hope this isn’t just a massive waste of time

I need to be at the hospital by 7am tomorrow for lumbar puncture take 2. Scheduling was a whole ordeal because they told me I need family present to drive me home. I told them my family is out of state and that uber would take me home. They told me that wasn’t good enough. Cue panic attack. Luckily I have the best friend ever who is able to accompany me but I really don’t get why it’s necessary. Also I hate how I’m using all my days off work for medical reasons. 

Woke up with a migraine and I can’t see. What a great start to my weekend
