I had to do something very hard that's been a long time coming and taken a lot of emotional energy. I feel awful and know this will take quite some time to process and move on from but I don't regret this decision. -Vincent
Guess who was in hospital again? This guy!
I was so worried about being an inconvenience to the other people in the emergency department but man.. that was the kind of pain that was so intense I couldn't hold back the whimpering and couldn't stop pacing (or digging my nails into poor Hazz's shoulders) to try and take my mind off it. The poor triage nurse gave me oxycodone to try and take the edge off (didn't work at all but I appreciate it) and was working as fast as she could to get me a bed in the ward. It was about 5:30am by the time they got me to a bed and were able to give me more painkillers and then finally some morphine which did actually help! I have been home for almost a week and have been experiencing severe spikes in pain multiple times a day a night but at least now I know what it is and can try to deal with it until it passes. Pain killers really only seem to make each spike not last quite as long as the first time but that's better than nothing at all. I'm currently living with a heat pack strapped to me lol A lesson in making sure I stay hydrated, I guess. Hopefully this passes soon! -Vincent
I'm still in pain and have been trying to tell doctors that something wasn't right for the last couple of weeks but kept being told to take Paracetamol and go home.
The pain caused a spike in troponin levels due to heart stress which is what made them FINALLY take it seriously. It turns out the stones haven't moved at all in 3 weeks so SURPRISE! I'm back in hospital waiting for stent surgery hopefully today or tomorrow followed by lithotripsy in about a months time. Fingers crossed this will be the end of it .. it feels never ending!

Update to an update - been in hospital for 5 days, finally had the surgery late last night. Everything went well and I'm waiting to go home then gotta be back here in a few weeks for the second half of the surgery.

My favourite childhood books were all dumped, damaged beyond repair or went missing while living with my abusive ex. Lately I've been wanting to read one of them again and finish the series as I only had a few but haven't had much luck finding them. About two weeks ago a mysterious but heavy package arrived on our doorstep addressed to me. I opened it and was stoked to see books 1-42 of the Animorphs series, my absolute favourite growing up! Turns out Hazz and Tei went searching and found them for me. I am so grateful, I felt like a kid at Christmas <3

Very long overdue update of "Meet the Boys"! I really need to stop doing full pieces for these.. Will I? Probably not. Blake is barely around anymore but Tei has quickly filled his spot with his constant yapping. Arcana is now Dante, as previously mentioned but the rest of us are just as we were <3 - Vincent
Buckle up for another installment of Vincent's chronically ill life! So about 4 weeks ago I had a sleep study done to try and figure out why I am always tired during the day, why I wake up so often with a racing heart and why I see things that aren't there at night. Unfortunately that device failed and was unable to get a reading so I had to do it again about a week ago. I woke up multiple times due to the blinking red light on the machine, had a panic with a racing heart over 112 BPM twice, woke up multiple times seeing random things that weren't there (one of them was a strange robot creature with glowing green eyes leaning in close to my face) and had lower oxygen reading than is normal (90% so nothing too serious) All of that and they STILL said nothing was wrong! So it's back to my psych to discuss possible psychological reasons other than hypnagogic hallucinations. It never ends! -Vincent

I don't think it will ever get easier nor am I someone who ever cries but that day was a particularly hard slap. Cal doesn't always take over to help with strong negative emotions, he says I need to learn to deal with things myself but he knows when he's most needed and a spiral of self hatred is one of those moments. He also banned me from answering the phone when a person I've requested never to contact me again tried to call me for the first time in years just a few days later. They say things come in threes, what will be the next one? -- Okay, so I know it's been... 8 years since I last posted one of these so why not start off with something emotional! :D Since 2017 I've changed gender, fursona and name, woooo. Time's fun when you're having flies. From now on, everything that was "Arcana" the character is now "Dante" and the one behind Dante is Vincent ;) -Vincent

I love this man. No, I don't think there's anything watching me from the drain whilst I shower. I think its watching me from the exhaust vent in the ceiling. Don't tell Tei. This one's from March, right before we had a getaway up the Sunshine Coast.

After Vincent's major surgery a few years ago, they were out of action for a while - around 6 weeks. During this time there was a hard ban on lifting, so I was their hands for a spell. They had another surgery in November - much less intrusive, and as it turns out, much less requiring assistance to dress and undress. It's the thought that counts, right?
More life of mods than expected occur in the front of a little green i20. Not sure what's worse, seeing a little creature on the side of the road, or realising that I did not, in fact, see a little creature. I'm safe behind the wheel, I swear. This was a couple months ago now, but on the way either to or from a new cafe in the area having tried Unagi Omurice for the first time, something that's becoming a new ritual. Saturdays with Vincent or Domi, Sundays with Tei.
