This is the book that helped me realise I am asexual.

For so long I was so confused over my sexuality because everyone around me was making assumptions about who I was and wouldn't listen when I tried to say that isn't me. I still find it so hard to admit, because whenever I tell someone they say "you never know when you are older", "everyone was like that at your age" or the clique of "you just need to find the right person". Being autistic has made it even harder to explain to people that it isn't one of my symptoms, that this is actually me.

Loving it so far!!

I'm really into greek retellings at the moment and it makes me want to finish the classics to see how much is true to the originals because certain aspects of the story seem to change from book to book.

I wonder if they will show Hector's death in this, because there was a foreshadowing to it almost:

'..I can't imagine it. The way the boy spoke to you." He shrugged. "No one has ever tried to take something from me."

"never?" I could not believe it. A life without such things seemed impossible.

"never." He was silent for a moment, thinking. " I don't know," he repeated, finally. "I think I would be angry."'

All I could think was, oh Achilles' your going to be more than angry!!

Also I was actually writing on a typewriter and my gosh does it hurt. If I didn't already feel sorry for Paul Sheldon then I certainly do now!! Poor dude! Great book though!
