I am a big fan of writing poetry. I have also composed songs in the past but I am not great at that. I hope that I will get better to where I am proud with my progress. I think the same can be said for your aspiration of video essays. I think you will be great if you choose to practice in your own time.

I want to continue spending energy on kindness rather than hostile behavior because being rude won’t result in any good.

It truly is fascinating, isn’t it? It makes me wish I could travel freely and experience the world and everything it has to offer, haha. Are you familiar with Anthony Bourdain? He was someone best known for traveling to different places all over the world, trying their food and participating in their culture. He didn’t just dine with renowned chefs, but everyday people, wherever and whenever. I don’t think I have ever seen someone more open-minded, respectful, and genuine when it came to this sort of thing. I guess I’ve gotten a little off topic here, but your sentiment made me think of him, and I completely agree.

Oh! Poetry and songs, that really is impressive! Even if you say you aren’t so great, I think being able to create at all is a wonderful and liberating thing. I have no doubt you’ll get to the point where you can be happy with the things that you do either. If you ever find yourself wanting to share any of your work, I’d really be happy to read them.

I am big into history also, especially the history of my hobbies. I like learning about conspiracies, whether on fictional topics or nonfictional. When I’m not focused on that, I read a lot of poetry, and spend time writing. I also enjoy board and card games, spending time with people, and play piano on occasion.

I want to improve my English, so I have been reading and writing both in English more often than my native language. I make mistakes often, but it is all practice.

I do! I enjoy watching video essays, documentaries, short factual clips, and just about anything having to do with history. I personally really enjoy learning about the history or certain foods and cuisines. It really is fascinating to me.

The activities you like all sound very peaceful. What sort of things do you write, if you don’t mind me asking? In my case, I write mainly fiction, abstract stories, and essays. I have always hoped to turn some of my essays into video essays someday, but I’m just not good at editing, haha. Ah- and you play piano too! How impressive. I used to play the violin myself, but it’s been a very long time since I’ve picked it up. I think it’s always worth it to learn at least one instrument. Just another one of the many ways to create.

I had never heard of this one before, but I watched it just now, and it really was good! I especially enjoyed the tension and build up, the way you could tell the son was fed up with the mother long before the film even started and that this was simply the final straw. Maybe the twist was obvious to some, but I personally wasn’t expecting it until the son started digging, haha. It was a great short film.
