i cried 25 times over a sex doll, but i also think the tears weren't solely for Bianca. I think a lot of the tears were for Lars and how much the town cared for him. Lars' explanation of how touch burned being a version of touch aversion and fear of emotional and platonic intimacy hurt me so bad because it's TRUE. That is exactly how it feels when you are so scared of being hurt. the town being more and more accepting of Bianca to the point where she didn't need Lars and Lars didn't need her all the time. Community is such a pillar of this movie, and it's also such a big part of life now. While many say not to feed into delusions, the piece of "until he doesn't need it anymore" is so impactful. GODDAMN this movie is so GOOD!!!!
