Roxie was a very intentional girl. She’d spent most of her childhood practicing and perfecting both her pitch and plies, so naturally that mentality followed her the older she got. And even in a town like Lima, Ohio, any exposure was good exposure. For the past week, she’d been tossing and turning over just exactly which holiday song she should sing for an audition with a local caroling group.
Caroling definitely wasn’t her thing, in fact, Roxie found it painfully cheesy, but again, any exposure was good exposure. So with binder of sheet music in hand, she confidently strode up to the nearest individual she recognized and greeted them with a tap on they shoulder, “Hey, I hope you’re not busy or anything right now, because I could totally use your help.” she paused and flashed a winning smile paired with a perfected pleading puppy dog stare, “And you can’t say no.”
leaving the house was rather rare for liam, there was just too much that went into getting him out, and it was far too much of a hassle for him to task anyone else with helping him. but today was one of those rare days, as liam was very slowly wandering the halls of the high school, most likely waiting for his girlfriend.
feeling the tap on the shoulder, the male turned around, a bit confused at first before he registered his own sister, “what’re you up to?” he asked with a soft chuckle, pressing his back up against the lockers for added support, “well, i guess if i can’t say no then i have to, right?”
