“You do?” Eva grinned, before groaning a little at the resounding pain in her head. “Amazing. Would you actually do that? Cause I think I’d love you forever.”

“yeah.” he smiled before nodding. “is there, like, a specific brand or something you like or...will any do?”

“you do realize that your shirt and pants don’t match? like, at all,” ivy sighed, shaking her head. “you picked colors that don’t go together, and truly, it’s embarrassing. i was nice enough to invite you out with me tonight, the least you could do is dress like you understand how clothes and colors work.”

tommy nodded slowly with every word liam spoke, taking in the details of every question, understanding what was being asked, processing it in his mind and then acknowledging a likely answer. he took in another breath of his blunt, sure about the reality of his scenario. “y’know when babies are made and shit –– one second could make you a different baby.” the nodding continued. “and ––” a pause, furrowed brows, “fuck, what was that next one?”

“as fun as it is that we’re just sitting around here, i’ve spent too much time getting ready, and i’m not wasting an outfit, so let’s go!” ivy huffed, leaning against the wall with legs crossed carefully, the toe of her heels tapping against the floor. “wait- you’re not wearing THAT, are you?”

music blaring behind him, blunt hanging loosely from his fingertips. tommy was situated in the corner of the room again, never once in the centre, and he spoke to no one in particular when he did talk. just whoever was near him, whoever deemed his time worthy enough of taking up part of their life. “y’know what, what if dreams are just things happening to us in parallel universes,” he mused, seeming fully confident in his assumption.

This process is counter-clockwise. Pacing the courtyard with a bit of a prickly nature about his aura, Happy’s shoulders are tightened at the blades, stress laced up to the base of his neck — in short, his posture constricts and his brows remain pinched in vague annoyance. Blood is wiped from his nose with the heel of his palm, grin pulled tight before splitting into a large smile. He coughs up a laugh to break up the silence. “Yeah, yeah, yeah, keep fucking staring. Ever seen a grown man brooding in a public place before?” Through the glare of teeth, his lips reserve a red tint. Absolutely wolfish. “I know you’re wondering, so I’ll come clean with you, friend. A dolphin pulled me in during the low tide and beat the shit out of me. Really taught me a lesson. Didn’t think I’d make it out in once piece. Bit of a Reservoir Dogs vibe to the whole encounter. Literal Ocean’s Eleven, maybe. I’ve never seen it, but it makes for a funny gaff. What’s got you sneakin’ around campus? I’m not the only shady kid to keep your eyes on.”

liam was out wandering, as he often did when he didn’t know what to do with his day or he just needed a breeze of inspiration, but mainly so he could enjoy a cigarette. when he spotted the other, he didn’t mean to stare, but he was wondering. “my bad,” liam apologised. a laugh left his lips by the other’s explanation before feeling slightly bad for doing so. “and what lesson is that? it’s called ocean’s eleven ‘cause the main guy’s last name is ocean.” he clarified, but he understood how he could be confused had he never seen it. “well, i’m not participating in any dolphin mma or anything like that — just having a smoke. you should probably put some ice on that, though.” he nodded, gesturing to his, well, face.

“you know, i made it to every single one of my classes today and i think that that calls for a thirsty thursday celebration. you in?”

“I can hear you talking but you need to know, I am super hungover right now and unless you’re talking about bagels or coconut water, I’m not interested.”

“i’ve got bagels,” he confirmed, holding one out to her. “i can...go get coconut water, though? or do you think you’ll survive?”

“pregnant nope, i mean i fucking hope not. so i’ll go with dying because it would be the better option here”

“right, but if it does turn out to be a fever — i make a mean chicken soup. hopefully it’s just one of those things where if you ignore it then it’ll just go away.”

“well, the internet is lying because all i said was my head feels like it’s pounding and i don’t even remember having a drink the other night or anything like that.”

“i’ve seen too many ‘i didn’t know i was pregnant’ scenarios to want to deal with something like that. but honestly, i’ve had a pretty solid dry spell lately as far as sex is concerned, so my chances of being pregnant are pretty slim,” she let out a laugh. “i mean, i guess a fever would be the most ideal of all of them then. still sucks.”

“nice to meet you” she greeted with a smile. “oh my gosh, yes of course!” she gleamed, offering the bottle to him with her other hand.

"i just feel like if you want a dancing partner i'm gonna have to not be sober." he laughed albeit a little awkwardly before he drank from the bottle. “so, er, how was your day?” he wondered, slightly regretting the use of small talk.

“i guess we’ll go with fever being the most likely, considering i refuse either of the other two becoming a reality,” she laughed slightly. “can hangovers last more than a day? more importantly, can they cause fevers?”

"denial: i love it." he teased, closing the laptop and setting it down before nodding. "if you were out at a bar or a party there's obviously a million other bodies there that could pass on a fever. but i've had hangovers last half a week, it depends how hard you went i guess."

aria rolled her eyes at the symptoms ( although deep down a part of her was waffling between the options ). “ well, i don’t think i have a fever, ” she offered, pressing the back of her hand to her forehead. “ ugh, we were wrong to google these symptoms. now i’m just gonna be paranoid ! ”

"i think the internet is a huge ploy to get you to go see your doctor and thus pay money to a service you don't need. i'm sure you'll be fine. maybe write a will or something just incase though."

“Fever, maybe. Want to crack an egg on my forehead and see if it fries? Probably the only way to find out,” Lana suggested, twiddling the end of a lock of hair between finger and thumb like a silk ribbon. “Or you can stick your finger in my mouth and play thermometer. I bet you’d be able to estimate a good reading. You seem totally capable. You know? Very, like… Super astute.”

“you say that like a joke, but i do seriously want to try it to see if it would work.” he laughed, the idea amusing to him but he wasn’t going to ruin her day by doing so. “o-oh? u-uh, i don’t think that’s, er, necessary, but, um, thank you?” liam turned a soft pink as his cheeks flushed with warmth. “though i really would have to disagree –– i’m pretty dumb, really.”

“i’m most definitely pregnant. i’m late and i’m never late, trust me i know my body.” jake laughed.

“all of them, but especially the dying part. i wanna fling myself into bed like hardcore right now.” 

"so that you die or so you don't die? either way we should probably steal you a helmet or something from the lacrosse team so you don't actually die."
