Every piece is made by hand to be one of a kind. I'm always looking for new projects!
Q: Do you sell your art? Where can i buy it? A: Yes I have my own website linked above! If you don't see a piece there it either already sold or was a commissioned piece.
Q: How much do your carvings cost? A: Depends on the piece but for now customs are based on overall size and complexity so reach out and I can get you an estimate! Or check my website to see how much each piece is!
Q: Is (insert piece here) still available? Can you make another one of those? A: Best way to know is to check my site! If you don't see it there feel free to message me about it. I don't do remakes but I would love to make a similar piece with a fun twist!
Q: How big are your projects? A: Each one is different but they range from 10in x 8in all the way to 24in x 16in. Sizes are listed in the descriptions of each piece on my site.
Q: How long does each one take? A: I estimate 2-4 weeks for each piece. Realistically between designing and actual carving each piece takes around 16 to 20 hours. I have to spread that over a few days since I do work outside this (Hopefully not forever)
Q: Where can you ship to? A: I am based in Texas so shipping in the US is easy and usually not expensive. Internationally, I have shipped to Australia, Norway, Brazil, the Philippines and it may be more expensive (sometimes $80 USD) but they've always arrived safely and on time!
Q: What is the process for your projects? A: I make the design into a paper pattern and select the boards or scraps I want to use. Then I use a band saw and bench sander to shape the pieces so they fit together. Sometimes I use a scroll saw to get finer line details. Then I use a flex shaft grinder to carve various shapes and depths into each part. From there its a simple process of sanding, adding color where needed, assembly, then a couple clear coats to seal the wood grain.
Q: How do you get those colors in wood? A: Some species like Padauk (Red) and Purpleheart (Purple) just look like that naturally so I use them as much as I can. Some colors are either too expensive in wood (Ebony for black) or don't exist (Gray) so I'll use Poplar and dye it to whatever color I need!
