Just a quick heads up to anyone using Vitamin E oil on their scars. I developed Dermatitis (eczema) which includes itchiness, red skin, and a rash. Iβve been using it for a few months now, but recently its been super dry, itchy, and irritated. On the hunt for other scar treatments!Β
3 Years on T.
Hey guys! Here is my journey through top surgery that began on October 5th 2016. Check it out!
Alright. Letβs talk about Hysterectomyβs.Β
My experience, just like top surgery, has been a roller coaster. Going into surgery things were falling into place smoothly. I was pretty nervous, but I knew I was in good hands. When I woke up, the pain was pretty intense, and it reminded me of the good olβ days back in high school when I would curl up into a ball on my bed and cry from how painful the cramps were. Yeah, like that, but this time I had drugs. The first time I had to pee was quite an experience as well. No one really warns you how much itβs gonna hurt and I may have shed a few tears over that.Β
One thing that threw me off in the hospital was how uneducated the nurses were about trans patients. During switchover some of the nurses were confused by how I was a male who just had a hysto. Some even proceeded to gossip with other staff members and casually look at me and sayΒ βoh heβs actually attractive too.β Are we supposed to look like aliens to you? I proceeded to get misgendered a few times, but I was too drugged up to even care at this point.Β
Everything seemed alright once I got home. I had support and lots of snacks and Netflix. However, after a couple weeks of light spotting, I began to experience heavy bleeding with clotting. This has been going on for a week or so and Iβm currently three weeks post op. I just checked in with my doctor, had a physical done (ouch that hurt) and nothing seemed to be alarming to her. She said it could be old blood caught behind something that is just now being released. I also got my testosterone levels checked and my levels seem to be pretty high now and I may have to readjust my dosage.
Β Iβm still not working or doing anything active and Iβm going a little insane, but hopefully things will go up from here.Β
I would love to hear anyone elseβs experience with Hysterectomyβs and how their recovery processes went. Β

Recovery always leads to emotional self destruction. Isnβt it supposed to be about healing? Fuck man. Being trans can be so damn tiring.Β
Yesterday I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy and let me tell you itβs been a wild ride up in this hospital. In comparison, my experience has been much more painful than top surgery. All in all, Iβm alive and sipping on some cafeteria coffee. πͺπ» (at Burnaby Hospital)
Getting my hysto today at 12pm. Wish me luck! Iβll make a post op video soon discussing my experience. Mostly after Iβm done being high and watching netflix though.
Becoming more and more comfortable within my masculinity.
Hey you, I'm a trans man who is currently 2.5 years on testosterone. I recently had top surgery on October 2nd 2016 and I'll be having my hysto on March 15th 2017. I was able to get on EI for my top surgery, but this time around I am not legable. I'm needing 2-4 weeks off of work without the...
Any support from you lovelies will help immensely.

I've been questioning my gender identity lately. I've put myself under "gender queer" because "female" never felt right... But I've started to think I'm transgender. Your movie made me cry and I feel a little lost. What made you know for certain? I don't want to feel like this anymore, I want to be comfortable and most importantly happy with who I am. I want to find who I am... Do you have any advice for those of us questioning or gender?
Take your time. There is no rush to discover yourself right away. It took me many years. I identified as gender neutral for a while before I realized I was trans. Try out different identities and see what feels right for you. Be kind to yourself.Β
Hysto is scheduled for March 15th. Here we go again!
Having one of those day where I need to make a comparison photo to see how much things have changed in my life. Anxiety is quite challenging to tackle, but these seem to take the edge off sometimes.Β
Three months post op with Dr Chris Taylor.
Other than reminding you youre goals af and i really loved your documentary can you give me some advice on coming out to my dad im 21 pre T and hoping to start by the end of the year. Appreciate any words u can give.
The most important thing to remember is that you truly have to believe you need this. If there are people in your life who disagree with your decisions, you have all of the self love to carry on and do your own thing. However, itβs also important to be patient with family members. I still have family I don't speak to at the moment because of their outlook on my transition. The ones who care about you unconditionally will shine through all of the darkness that may appear. Good luck, friend. Be kind to yourself. You deserve this happiness.
