“I’ve brought the s’mores materials, my little imps!” Sam emerged from seemingly nowhere, chocolate and graham crackers in one hand and a massive bag of marshmallows in the other. His bounty was held aloft like a hard-earned trophy as he performed the same routine as he did every night around the campfire.
“Man, where does he even get all this stuff?” Riddle heard Ace mutter - mostly to Deuce, who responded only with a shrug - as Sam started setting up the s’more station. “It’s the third week of camp and we’ve been fully-stocked for s’mores every night.”
“It’s been the same every year, you learn better than to keep asking.” Trey responded to Ace in a low voice under the noise of the other campers scrambling for marshmallows. One would’ve thought they would learn to do it in a more dignified manner by now. Though Riddle did note, with a sense of satisfaction, most of the Heartslabyul campers seemed to be hanging back until the mass dissipated a bit.
“Want me to get you a marshmallow, Riddle?” Trey leaned over to him a bit as he stood, ready to follow Cater, Ace, and Deuce into the fray. Tempting as a s’more sounded, Riddle shook his head a bit at the offer. He couldn’t afford any s’mores if he wanted to follow his mother’s camp dietary plan.
“No, thank you. I’m all set.” He only received a shrug in response that he knew meant, ‘suit yourself,’ before Trey left to get his own marshmallow.
Riddle took a moment of blissful silence to watch his campers laughing together as they gathered their desired materials. He felt a slight, fond smile rise to his face as he watched Ace and Deuce get into a sparring match with their sticks, successfully knocking both of their marshmallows into the dirt. With a slight chuckle and a shake of his head as the two started shouting blame at each other, Riddle looked back into the blazing campfire in front of him.
“Goldfishie! Look!” Without even giving him a chance to turn toward his voice, Floyd appeared, crouched on the ground, waving an inferno on the end of his stick in Riddle’s face.
“Gah! Floyd!?” The sudden appearance of the other boy and the danger of the flame sent Riddle reeling back fast enough that he would have tumbled from his place on the log if Floyd’s free hand hadn’t grasped his wrist to keep him steady. Floyd cackled as he released Riddle’s arm, still waving his burning marshmallow without a care in the world. “How many times have I told you to stop lighting your marshmallows on fire? It is a flagrant display of disregard for the safety of your fellow campers! If you’re going to burn them to cook them, the least you could do would be to keep them over the fire as you did so.”
“But the fire’s so cool, Goldfishie~.” Floyd stood up to plop himself down on the log next to Riddle where Trey had been sitting as the fire burning on his stick dwindled out. Noticing immediately, Floyd stuck it back into the fire to reignite the blaze. “And they don’t let me play with it otherwise.”
“One would think you’ve never seen fire before.” Riddle mumbled more to himself than to Floyd as he scouted away from the tall boy who had sat down practically on top of him. Pulling the stick out of the fire again, Floyd tilted his head back and forth, as if appraising the burnt layer around his marshmallow. Nodding slightly, he blew out the flame with one strong gust and grabbed the graham crackers and chocolate he’d brought with him when he had come to bother Riddle, who watched with furrowed eyebrows as Floyd carefully peeled the burnt outer layer from his marshmallow and plopped it into his mouth before pulling the rest off the stick using the graham crackers and chocolate.
“How come you never have s’mores, Goldfish? Don’t like ‘em?” Floyd asked with a mouth full of marshmallow that Riddle had half the mind to chastise him for if he hadn’t been caught so off guard by the question. He hadn’t thought anyone would notice that he never partook in the nightly tradition - maybe Trey or Cater, but certainly not Floyd. He would’ve even expected Jade or Azul to notice before Floyd - of course, there was nothing to say they didn’t notice also, Floyd was just the one to say something.
“I like them just fine, it’s simply that…” While Riddle’s mind scrambled for an answer to Floyd’s question other than ‘my mother would be upset,’ he failed to notice as the other boy finished chewing his s’more and skewered another marshmallow onto his stick. In record time, and without even lighting the marshmallow on fire, Floyd held another perfectly roasted s’more in his hand.
“Do you want one?” A surprised noise escaped Riddle’s throat as Floyd held the s’more in front of his face and tilted his head. The usual teasing was gone from his heterochromatic gaze as he wiggled the treat in front of Riddle. “I made it just for you~.”
“I–” Riddle’s eyes narrowed and he felt his mouth pull into a pout as he tried to reason with himself the many reasons he shouldn’t accept the s’more. Instead, he settled on focusing on the one question that bounced around in his brain, the one thing that wasn’t adding up about the whole interaction. “Why?”
Floyd shrugged. “You looked like you wanted one earlier when Sea Turtle asked. So, I figured, instead of askin’, I’d just make one for ya!”
In an instant, Riddle felt all his defenses crash down around him as his shocked expression gave way to a soft smile - one Floyd reflected on his own face. With his eyes darting down to the ground, Riddle hesitantly reached out and took the s’more from Floyd’s hand.
“Thank you, Floyd.” As he took a bite, a smile lit up his face and a long arm wrapped around his shoulders, pulling him into a half embrace as he happily munched on his s’more. Afterall, it wasn’t as if his mother was here to see him now. And if she was, she’d have much bigger problems with him than one s’more.
My first Night Raven Camp AU fic request comes from @kristhebitch2 who has been really fueling my brainrot over it <3
I hope you like it! I changed a couple specifics a little bit, but the general concept is still the same

It was against the rules to be out of the cabin so late at night. Trey was well aware of this fact, as well as how angry Riddle would be if he ever found out. Unfortunately, Trey couldn’t sleep. Back at home he’d bake until he felt at ease enough to rest, but the mess hall was locked by now and Trey didn’t want to bother the staff to find a key. As such, he found himself meandering along the shore of the lake, straying past the beach in the light of the full moon. He aimlessly kicked a rock, listening to it splash in the water. He heard the sound of a large fish breaching the surface before dipping back under the waves - a very large fish. Trey’s eyes narrowed as the sound pulled him out of his thoughts, stopping him in his tracks as he listened, trying to find the same sound again. Frog calls and cricket songs were the only things that filled his ears and he shook his head. It must have just been a fish and his imagination playing tricks on him.
He briefly considered turning back as his body hesitated to move forward. It was just a fish. He heard the sound again - splashing and moving in the water. It sounded more like a person than a fish, though Trey wasn’t entirely sure it completely sounded like either. He tucked himself behind a tree and squinted into the dark expanse of the lake, hoping the light of the full moon would be enough to see whatever was there. Part of him wished Cater were there with his camera to capture whatever creature he might find. Though, he quickly shook off the thought. He knew better than to believe Ace and Lilia’s campfire stories and he wasn’t trying to see “whatever” it was, he was trying to see whoever it was.
Finally catching movement in the ripple reflecting the moon, Trey focused on that area trying to make out who had snuck out of their cabin for a late night swim. His eyes strained behind the lenses of his glasses in the lowlight before he caught a glimpse of teal hair disappearing under the water - one of the twins then. Releasing a breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding, Trey carefully stepped back out from his hiding spot, trying not to alert the twin of his presence. When the water rippled again, however, Trey was caught in his tracks.
Floyd - because Trey could definitely make out that it was Floyd now - was grinning as he breached the surface of the water. His teeth glinted in the moonlight - his teeth that were pointed like a shark and stood out in a stark white against the ghostly, pale blue of his skin. A gasp tore its way out of Trey’s throat at the sight of Floyd’s ears, which had morphed into fins protruding from the sides of his head. In a flash, Floyd’s head whipped toward him, his one golden eye glowing minutely as their gazes met. Floyd tilted his head before diving back beneath the waves - giving Trey a good look at the long expanse of his body, longer than it should have been, greener than it should have been, and ending in a long fin where there should have been legs. Trey stumbled backward until his back hit something firm. The logical part of his brain told him it must be a tree, but the terrified part caused him to whip around. Instead of the tree he expected to find, Trey found himself face-to-face with another set of heterochromatic eyes.
Jade stared down at him with an indecipherable look. His golden eye was glowing like Floyd’s had been, Trey was almost certain that they had never done that before. Then again, he had also been certain that the twins weren’t terrifying fish creatures. One of Jade’s hands came up to rest on Trey’s shoulder. He didn’t grab him, only laid his hand there - almost as if he meant to give Trey some comfort. Trey didn’t wait around to find out before brushing the hand away and taking off in a run.
He didn’t stop running until he was back in the Heartslabyul cabin with the door shut tight behind him, pressing his back into it and panting like he’d just run a marathon. When he caught his breath he remembered where he was, looking around to make sure he hadn’t woken any of the other campers. As luck would have it, he did wake a camper, the one he would’ve given anything to still be asleep.
Riddle sat upright in his bed - the only non-bunk in the cabin - watching him with a quizzical look as he wiped the remaining sleep from his eyes. Trey opened his mouth, ready to explain himself and spew everything he had seen, everything he was still trying to make sense of in his head. Riddle quickly shook his head before standing and pulling Trey back outside and behind the cabin where they wouldn’t wake anyone else up.
“What are you doing outside so late?” Riddle spoke before Trey had a chance to, now looking up at him, arms crossed in the perfect picture of ‘disappointed cabin leader.’ “It’s expressly against the rules, you of all people should know that.”
“I–” Trey shook his head, trying and failing to figure out where, exactly, to start explaining what he had just seen. Riddle’s shoulders slackened a bit as he tilted his head.
“Trey? Are you alright?” The cabin leader’s eyebrows furrowed a bit. “You look as shaken up as a character from one of Ace’s silly ghost stories.”
“I went for a walk down by the lake. I know it’s against the rules without a buddy, but I just needed to clear my head.” Trey didn’t know why he still felt the urge to explain himself when what he was about to say would overshadow any anger Riddle might have about the broken rules. “But I got there and… there was splashing and then Floyd — I mean, I think it was Floyd — and then Jade was there and–”
Riddle’s eyes widened as he listened to Trey’s nonsensical rambling. A tiny part of Trey’s brain latched onto the expression. It was strange, usually when Riddle didn’t understand what someone was trying to say, his eyebrows would furrow and he’d look at you as if you’d grown a second head. This was a different expression, one of understanding and shock. There was no way Riddle understood him, he couldn’t even understand himself.
“They’re not human, Riddle.” Trey finally got to the main point of his stuttering and Riddle only looked blankly to the side, the way he did when he was trying to reason something out in his head. He let Trey stare at him for a moment before he came to some sort of conclusion in his head and sighed, looking back up at his childhood friend.
“You should get some rest, Trey.” He paused for a moment. “And talk to Jade in the morning.”
“How are you so calm about this?” Trey’s frantic rambling slowed as he started to understand what was going on.
“You should talk to Jade, he–”
“You knew.” It wasn’t a question and Riddle knew that. He let out another defeated sigh and stared up at Trey with guilt written across his face.
“Not for long. You should talk to Jade, he can explain it better than I can.” Riddle gave Trey a strained smile before turning away and walking back toward the front of the cabin. “But for now, you should get some rest.”
⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻
In the morning Trey could almost forget what had happened the previous night. Almost. It was hard to forget the glowing gold eyes and the razor sharp teeth and the serpentine tail. He naturally woke up earlier than most of the cabin to help out in the kitchen with making breakfast. Though, when he sat up in his bunk bed, his head narrowly missing the bottom of Cater’s bed above him as it did every morning, he found Riddle sitting in his bed with an open book in his lap, looking at him as if unsure of what he was going to do.
“I’ll talk to Jade.” Was all Trey said, standing and walking toward the bathroom before stopping again briefly at the door. “After breakfast.” He barely saw Riddle nod before closing the door behind him.
Trey was out of sorts all morning, it was clear to anyone who saw him - a few members of the kitchen staff even commented on it, though he brushed them off. He said he was fine, just had something on his mind - it wasn’t technically a lie. It took all of Trey’s willpower to avoid meeting the constant looks he was getting from both Riddle and Jade during breakfast. He picked at his eggs and ended up throwing away half his bacon, steeling himself for the conversation he was about to have.
Sometime between disposing of his leftover food and leaving the mess hall, Trey had lost track of Riddle. Though, glancing over to where cabin 7 was leaving the mess hall, he couldn’t spot Floyd either and he suddenly had a pretty good idea where his cabin leader had gone. Closing his eyes briefly, Trey took a deep breath, preparing himself to approach Jade. When he opened his eyes again, the taller boy had vanished from Trey’s sight. Before he had a chance to glance around for him, he felt a hand rest on his shoulder, causing him to whip around in a similar fashion to how he had last night - and just like last night, Jade stood behind him, staring down with an indecipherable expression.
“We need to talk.” Jade’s voice was calm, though his grip on Trey’s shoulder was tight enough that it would be hard for him to run away. With a shaky nod, Trey let Jade lead him toward the lake, to the secluded area where he’d seen Floyd in the water last night. “About what happened last night–”
“Before you start, don’t try to pull some bullshit and tell me it wasn’t real.” Trey cut off Jade before he could even really start talking, crossing his arms over his chest and hoping he was displaying more confidence than he felt. “I know what I saw.” He paused. “Well, I don’t know what I saw… but I know I saw something.”
“I wouldn’t dream of lying to you, Trey. I trust you won’t tell anyone - though, no one would believe you if you did.” Coming from Jade, that sounded very insincere and ominous, but Jade’s eyes, for once, showed no sign of malintent that Trey could find. “As for what you saw… it was Floyd. In his true form.”
“What does that mean?” Trey heard a drop of fear seep into his voice despite his best efforts to mask it. Jade’s face softened into the closest thing Trey had seen on his face to a comforting smile.
“Floyd, Azul, and myself are merfolk.”
“Merfolk? Like, half-fish people?” Jade let out a small chuckle, though Trey couldn’t figure out what he had said that was funny.
“I suppose that is a close enough approximation to what we are, yes. We take special potions to maintain our human forms in order to experience the human world.” Trey felt his eyebrows furrow as he tried to take in the information being thrown at him. Of course, he had heard tales of merfolk, but having Jade standing in front of him telling him point blank that he was one? Trey wouldn’t have believed it if he hadn’t seen Floyd last night. As it stood, he still wasn’t sure he entirely believed it. “You seem to be having trouble wrapping your mind around all this. Perhaps it would be easier to show you…”
That shook Trey out of his thoughts. “Show me?”
Instead of answering the question, Jade simply made his way toward the water’s edge without a word. In an instant, Jade dove into the lake, without so much as shedding his shoes. A sound of shock came from Trey’s throat as he reached out a hand on instinct. The water bubbled for a moment as Trey waited for Jade to reemerge.
When he did, Trey flinched back in response to the fear he was trying so hard to ignore. Jade’s ears had been replaced by fins just as Floyd’s had been before. In the light of the sun, Trey could better see the scales that covered his skin, and the gills that opened and closed on his throat as he breathed. Jade lifted a hand to beckon Trey closer, showing him his fingers that had been webbed together and now ended into pointed claws. Trey could see more sharp fins coming out of his forearms. The fear still bubbled in Trey’s chest, but Jade didn’t look threatening - he tilted his head in a way Trey had seen a thousand times. And it was Jade. Trey knew Jade, and he trusted Jade to never hurt him - even with the new addition of razor sharp teeth and claws.
Trey took a hesitant step forward and Jade swam closer to the shore to meet him. Now in shallower water, Trey could see the long expanse of tail coiling in the waves behind Jade. It had to have at least doubled his length, though Trey couldn’t truly tell with the way Jade curled it into himself.
“Wow.” Trey knelt down on the shore as the fear in his chest was clouded over by the awe that was forming. Jade was like nothing he’d ever seen before - he was incredible.
“See?” Jade’s smile lit up his face, softer and more genuine than Trey had ever seen it. “Not so scary.”
⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻
After breakfast, when he was confident that Trey was going to talk to Jade, Riddle decided it was time to have a word with Floyd about his carelessness. Riddle strode over to the Octavinelle table with all the authority he could muster before stopping in front of the place where Floyd sat. Unsuccessful in getting Floyd to look up at him by simply walking over, Riddle only earned an amused look from Jade before clearing his throat to get the other twin’s attention.
“Hey Goldfishie.” The passive greeting was all Riddle got for his efforts and he felt his face contort in annoyance because of it. “What’s up?”
“I would like to speak with you.” Riddle turned slightly to indicate that he would like to talk somewhere else, but he knew better than to start walking without ensuring that Floyd was following him. Floyd, surprisingly obedient, simply tilted his head before standing to follow. Usually, Riddle would have reprimanded him for not clearing his plate before leaving the mess hall, but he supposed it was his own fault Floyd was leaving and let it slide just this once. Riddle led Floyd to a small, secluded area in the woods past the cabins.
“How could you have been so careless?” Without much warning, Riddle whirled around on Floyd to chastise him. “You’re lucky it was Trey who saw you last night and I got to talk to him first! What if i t had been one of the counselors? What if Crowley had seen you? Or Jack or Sebek, there’s no telling what the two of them would have done! How many times have I told you to stop going for night swims since I found out?” Riddle stopped to take a breath and found Floyd staring down at him with a stupid grin on his face. “What in Twisted Wonderland is that look for?”
“Goldfishie was worried about me.” It wasn’t a question and it made Riddle’s face heat with something stronger than his anger. “You don’t gotta be. I’m usually careful, Sea Turtle was just quiet. ‘Sides, if someone did find out, we have ways of dealin’ with that too~!”
“That does not make me– GAH!” Before Riddle could finish his sentence, Floyd had scooped him up under one arm like a sack of potatoes.
“Come on, Goldfishie~. Everything’ll be okay.” At some point between the woods and the Octavinelle cabin, Riddle resigned himself to his fate of being carried and stopped struggling - opting, instead, to cover his ever-reddening face from the curious looks they received on the way.
Upon entering the empty cabin, Floyd plopped himself and Riddle onto the lower bunk of one of the beds that Riddle knew to be his and Jade’s - though he still wasn’t entirely sure which one of them actually slept on the bottom. Propping himself against the headboard, Floyd pulled Riddle in so his back rested against the taller boy’s chest, arms locked firmly around his abdomen so he couldn’t escape.
“I’m still angry at you, you know.” Riddle said, even as his head fell back to rest on Floyd’s shoulder. “One of these days you’re going to get caught and you won’t be able to squirm your way out of it.”
Floyd was silent for a while and Riddle began to worry he had fallen asleep before he felt a nose nuzzle its way into his hair with a quiet mumble. “Sorry for worryin’ you, Goldfishie. I’ll try to be more careful.”
lol remeber during the game prologue, grim looks like a chimera? that's what i imagined him looking like when the rest of the cast meets him, but in yuu's eyes he looks like what grim looks like in the game smol and huggable.
Yes! And consider that the reason behind it is because for some reason Yuu isn’t as effected by the magic in the woods so they can see through glamours and stuff
Which would be extra funny if they could also see through Malleus and Lilia’s glamours
eldritch horror grim just flopping on the bonfire during a bonding activity demanding yuu to feed him tuna and ear scritches, the camp is freaking out over grim because he's basically a forgotten ancient god, while yuu is just busy fitting grim into a really ugly neon pink sweater while giving him those churu cat treats and playing with his toe beans,
This is adorable. I love the idea that grim has been wandering the woods alone and undiscovered for years (possibly decades or even centuries) and then Yuu comes along and decides, “this is my pet cat now.” And everyone else is having a crisis because WHY IS THERE AN ELDRITCH BEING IN THE CAMP?
Also the concept of Yuu bringing grim back to a more docile form like the version of him in the game through love and care is just so sweet and I think he deserves it
On the other hand I think he deserves to be a big scary monster that purrs when you rub under his chin

Ok ok so, since a few people actually want to hear about my summer camp au I have managed to organize most of my thoughts into a semi-comprehensive infodump. I’m gonna put the majority of the information under the cut so that people who don’t care don’t have to scroll through my rambling.
Also, my summer camp knowledge is limited mostly to media and a one week camp I went to when I was 7 so if anyone who actually knows things about summer camps wants to pitch in some information it would be much appreciated. My ask box is always open and that isn’t just limited to people who know things about summer camps, please throw random thoughts at me.
Anyway, infodump under the cut:
To start I drew a really rough map of the camp
General Information:
Night Raven Camp is a 9 week summer camp that runs through the whole summer, accepting campers from age 16 to 18. Crowley is head counselor and the rest of the NRC faculty are counselors for various activities. The kitchen ghosts work in the mess hall, but they aren't ghosts for reasons explained in the next paragraph.
This au takes place in an alternate version of Twisted Wonderland, where the geography is all the same but most of the population believes magic to be just a fairytale. So the camp is on Sage's Island but the boys aren't mages and the camp isn't like a prestigious magic camp or anything. Beastmen are still a thing (mostly because I can't stand the thought of humanizing the Savanaclaw boys), however fae and merfolk are usually thought of more myth than truth so the octatrio have to be careful with their potions and Malleus, Lilia, and Sebek use fae glamours to hide their inhuman features. The fae are the only ones that have some innate magic.
All campers are separated into 7 cabins (based on the dorms obvs), with each cabin having a cabin leader (the housewardens). I've messed with the order of the dorms to make them match the rainbow because I gave them all team colors
Cabin 1: Heartslabyul
Team Color: Red
Cabin 2: Scarabia
Team Color: Orange
Cabin 3: Savanaclaw
Team Color: Yellow
Cabin 4: Diasomnia
Team Color: Green
Cabin 5: Ignihyde
Team Color: Blue
Cabin 6: Pomefiore
Team Color: Indigo
Cabin 7: Octavinelle
Team Color: Purple
The camp is on a lake, RSA is a rival camp on the other side of the lake because I think it's funny. If anyone can think of a fun camp name for RSA hmu, I can't think of a word that starts with A to keep the acronym but I guess it doesn't have to.
The woods that the camp is in have vague supernatural/magic/paranormal qualities (akin to gravity falls).
Character Headcanons:
Riddle:
- has printed out the entire camp handbook + has like 3 wilderness survival guides that he follows to the letter
- convinced his mom to let him come to camp by telling her it was a good learning opportunity
Trey:
- helps out in the kitchens at mealtimes so he can get special privileges to use the kitchen for baking
- carries a first aid kit around 24/7 in case anyone gets hurt
- makes camping puns far more often than he will admit
Cater:
- does not do well without reliable phone service
- but he's adapted since it's his third year at camp
- now, instead of his phone, he's got a polaroid camera that he brings everywhere with him and the heartslabyul cabin walls are absolutely COVERED in pictures
- has an acoustic guitar that he pulls out almost every night at the campfire
Ace:
- his brother went to camp a couple years ago and told him a bunch of far fetched stories about the woods
- he now uses those stories to terrify everyone around the campfire
Deuce:
- his mom sent him to camp so he'd stay out of trouble
- but now he feels bad for making his mom sad
- so he's made an oath to himself to just be really good at camp to make her proud
Leona:
- he's still 20 in this au and just no one wants to question why he's still coming to camp
- he just shows up and Crowley doesn't care enough to try and stop him
Ruggie:
- picks up little odd jobs around the camp for extra snacks or just some cash
- like lifeguarding, activity cleanup, helping out with cooking, etc.
- as a result, has a constant stash of granola bars and candy
Jack:
- is here simply because he genuinely enjoys camping
- uses the activities as physical training
- puts his all into every activity, even the ones that aren't physical (like crafts)
Azul:
- refuses to participate in any water activities because he doesn't want to put on a swimsuit
- always knows what the activity is going to be the next day and no one knows where he gets the information
- runs a snack trading system for smuggled goods and strategy tips
Jade:
- leads nature hikes that even the counselors didn't have planned
- *read: drags Azul and Floyd into the woods at randoms times without telling anyone so he can show them cool mushrooms
Floyd:
- likes to light his marshmallows on fire before putting them in his s'mores
- has a bad habit of taking swims in his eel form at night (sure hope no one catches him doing that)
Kalim:
- over enthusiastic about every single activity
- but hates the competitive ones and ends up helping the other cabins
- the only activity he's really good at is crafts
- makes friendship bracelets for everyone else at camp (Jamil has many and he must wear them)
Jamil:
- hates bugs, which is really fun when you're in the woods
- constantly has to ask people to remove bugs from the cabin
- usually Kalim offers but then ends up befriending the bugs and making Jamil's panic worse by trying to introduce them
- carries around a first aid kit 24/7 but it's specifically for Kalim
Vil:
- has to leave the campfire early every night to account for his extensive skincare routine to combat being in the woods all the time
- carries around a hairbrush and emergency makeup on him at all times
Rook:
- is having a great time at camp, even if Vil is constantly yelling at him for neglecting his skincare
- sometimes also gets dragged away from the campfire early to either help Vil with his skincare or be forced to do his own
- excels at manhunt
- dominates archery competitions and can be found at the archery range if he's not busy doing something else
Epel:
- wanted to come to camp to get stronger
- is very angry about his cabin placement and doesn't understand how the cabin system works and why he can't just go to a different one
- pretends to hate crafting activities but is actually really good at them
Idia:
- why is he here?
- you think this boy would go outside willingly??
- Ortho probably convinced him
- somehow manages to check his games even without internet or a phone signal but he will not reveal his secrets
Ortho:
- I haven't decided if Ortho is a robot in this au
- part of me wants to keep him that way for Idia's Tragic Backstory™
- but also I like the idea of him just being a normal 16-year-old going to summer camp
- also with the lack of magic, the robot thing is harder to justify
- looking for input on that one
Malleus:
- Lilia dragged him to camp, claiming it would be good for him to interact with society more often
- people constantly forget to tell him about the activities, or he's missing when they try to
- can often be found stargazing late at night down by the docks
Lilia:
- is certainly too old to be going to summer camp, but no one needs to know that
- only came along because Malleus refused to go alone, then he decided it was fun
- has to restrain himself from using magic during sport activities (though people have claimed to see him floating during a particularly intense game of volleyball)
Silver:
- is here because Lilia convinced him it would be fun
- can sometimes be found at the archery range hitting dummies with a sword that no one knows where he got
- has a bad habit of falling asleep in the middle of activities, especially crafting ones
- it's rare if he DOESN'T fall asleep on someone's shoulder at the campfire
- sometimes random woodland creatures will come up to him with flowers or hang out on his shoulders and everyone is very confused by it
Sebek:
- came to camp because Malleus goes to camp
- takes every activity way too seriously and will turn anything into a competition, even if it shouldn't be
- tends to bring a book to the campfire and read by the light of the flames
- unless he's telling stories about the fae and/or Malleus that no one believes
- sometimes spars with Silver with a sword that, once again, no one knows where he got
Yuu:
- I think Yuu will be some variety of relative to Crowley
- they don't have a cabin because they aren't technically going to the camp
- lmk if anyone has any better ideas for their role, I'm open to suggestions
Grim:
- running idea for grim is that he's a fully corrupted monster living in the woods
- this is also the main point of the vague plot I have forming in my head for if I ever write a cohesive fanfic
Other Points:
If I write this into a fanfic it will most definitely have some ships in it, I'm just trying to work out exactly which ones to use. If anyone wants to talk to me about that, please feel free to
Also, if anyone else wants to get in on this au, whether it be by drawing or writing, I would feel honored
Again, my ask box is open for any and all discussion about this au (or anything else really, I'm trying to interact with people more). If anyone's got fun little scenarios or headcanons hmu. I'd even take little writing requests to help me flesh out the au!
Sorry for the really long infodump but I have a lot of thoughts and I need to put them somewhere.
I have gone through painstaking effort to make an extensive ship chart for twst because I really wanted to make a chart with every possible ship on it. Did I need to put as much effort into it as I did? Absolutely not. But I did it anyway.
I wanted to provide the chart for anybody who wants it. Please feel free to fill it out, just credit me <3
Also, I did fill it out myself, but I don’t know if anyone would actually be interested in seeing that…
Some things to note:
1. Lilia and Ortho are not present on the chart. This is because Ortho is a literal child and Lilia is far to old for me to be comfortable shipping him with anyone.
2. Yes, it has squares filled in black on the sections that would be Floyd x Jade, I will not be removing them, don’t even ask.
i think it would be cute if you did height charts for tha diff clubs !! but if thats too much , could we see tha spelldrive squad n tha light music club's height charts ? ówò
I’m so glad you requested this, I wanted to make the clubs height charts anyway and you’ve given me an excuse! I also put Jade and Malleus together because I didn’t want them to feel left out

Could we please see a height comparison of epel, riddle, and floyd? I know that riddle is like barely taller than epel but I can't seem to visualize it (not a ship i just think its funny but hey I like rarepairs as much as the next guy)

idk if ur willing to do ships but do u think u could do a height chart for floyd and riddle? i want to see their height difference
I most certainly am willing to do ships, whether I personally ship them or not. This one, specifically, I feel like is important information whether you ship them or not.
