I start on Monday. I can't wait!! Eee!

Built up on a personal piece for practice, playing around with lighting and rock formations underwater. Working progress, might add some vegetation and some wildlife to give it more completed look.

Before the summer, I entered the 'Penguin Design Award - The Puffin Children's prize'. The brief was to design a book cover for the famous young person's book, 'The Outsiders'. Set in the 1960's, two young gangs fought against each other for they're turf on the streets. The Soc's and the Greasers (think of it as a gritty, music-less version of grease, less lovey-dovey too). I wanted to capture the famous quote "Stay golden Ponyboy" and I feel like i've done this particularly well.

'The girl had long white hair, streaming out like spirals of smoke.'

A recent piece that i did for a show that i feel is my best work yet. A short narrative of Hades, (the greek god of the underworld), presenting Persephone (the daughter of the goddess of harvest) the seeds of the pomegranate, the fruit of the underworld. causing her to stay with him.

A quick art study of a rat that i painted in photoshop in my first year of illustration. Pretty proud of it. I'd like to do some more studies of rats, i find them cute and really interesting to draw.

Drew outfits for the Chihuahua as examples for my uni project.

This is the base of my Chihuahua for a uni project, just gotta draw different outfits for it now :)
