“Hope you saved me a dance, Bumblebee,” she grinned as she made her way over to Violette on the dance floor. “Bobbing for apples this year?” @lettiecunningham​

“Oh, I always have one more dance in me,” she reassured with a smile. Lettie made a face. “No, I did that once, and it was not fun. Hurt my jaw. Though, I suppose I can shift into a certain animal that could help.”

“Lettie,” PJ said in greeting. He didn’t know the woman well but he spent enough time in her house with Seraphina that he felt comfortable enough making small talk with her, “A bumblebee huh? Nice,” He said, smiling slightly.

“I forgot to pick a costume, so this was my last minute decision,” Lettie admitted. “I look hot though, so it’s okay.” Lettie moved some of her hair from her face. “Okay, now I’m sure Sera told me what you too are, but I can’t remember, so what are you?”

Caleb laughed, “No, I don’t think I’m going to do any Dirty Dancing style lifts with Halli. I couldn’t talk her into it. I can only barely talk her into them during our lessons and only sometimes,” He paused and looked around, “It’s not like there’s much dancing going on at this thing anyway.”

“I guess you just have to do it with me then, it might be a little off considering I am a bumblebee, but at least you’ll get your moment,” she joked. “Also, if you really want, I can work my charm on Hali, I’m sure I can convince her.” Lettie looked around them when he mentioned not much dancing. “We can change that if you want.”

“Do I?” Hali spoke from behind the lens, eventually lifting her head up a little. She’d noticed it herself of course but she just put it down to the amount of work she had to do with University and her job, not to mention the sessions with Caleb. These days she didn’t know where the day went half of the time and she was just fighting to keep on top of everything. “I’ve just got a lot on my plate I guess.”

“I’m about to do some yoga in one of the studios if you want to join,” Lettie offered. “It’s really relaxing.”

“I didn’t realise that it needed an explanation.” Nell answered after a moment, one eyebrow raising at the woman. “I mean, I thought it was pretty clear what it was.”

“I see that it’s a notebook, but I can’t read the writing. It’s not mine if that’s what you’re asking.”

“Well I was just going to let you know that there’s a pot of coffee on,” Miles said, “But I’m kind of curious as to what’s in the box. Where did it come from?”

“Oh, cool, I’m dying for caffeine, thanks,” Lettie replied. She looked at the box and then back at Miles. “Oh, it’s just a box from my parents back in New York. Just some stuff for Hanukkah and everything. They got me a new menorah, they knew the one from last year wasn’t really doing too good. Wanna see?”

Caleb laughed and stopped the dance, catching his breath and grabbing his water bottle, “The transition,” He admitted with a shrug, “I’m not sure if we have a current dance it could fit into easily but also haven’t been able to come up with a dance for it yet. That’s why I’m asking you obviously.”

“Mmm, are you trying to add it into one of our dances, or one for the kids?” Lettie asked. “Just so I can narrow down my thoughts.”

“You look tired,” Lettie observed when she saw the other. “You okay or am I just imagining it?”

“Okay, okay, I’m sold, you don’t have to show me a third time,” Lettie said with a small laugh. “Why haven’t you thrown that into a dance yet?”

Lettie was looking through a box from the top of her closet when she saw someone at her door frame. “Hey,” she greeted. “You need something?”

Lettie took what the other had handed her. “What is this?” she looked at it a little more closely. “Am I supposed to know what I’m looking at?”

“Dance with me?” Lettie asked. “There should be some good that comes out of what’s happening right now. Maybe it will lift everyone’s spirits? Are you alright? That was a bad suggestion, wasn’t it? What can I do?”

“Is it bad that I kind of want to keep dancing?” Lettie asked. “Like I was enjoying all the dancing, our fun shouldn’t be squashed because they wanted it squashed.”

Lettie got up from the front counter when she saw Hali enter through the doors. “Hey Hali,” she said. “Are you looking for Caleb? He should be here within the hour, usually now is the time he runs to get some food.”

“No, no, I’m not staring,” she insisted, but Lettie was in fact staring. “Okay, maybe I was just a little bit. Your hair is just so beautiful and I was admiring it for a minute. Sorry, that’s weird.”
