I just wanted to mention how thankful I am that you are willing to listen to me rant and rave about cheer and the little bit of drama that I deal with (the Damien being a disrespectful jerk). I love that you have your own opinion but hear me out and don't think that I'm nuts or tell me that I am over reacting.

Eleven years ago two towers fell and shook the United States....

this flared up some emotions in some not-so-patriotic people, making them believe and respect America more....and it "angered" the already patriotic ones, to say the least. Soldiers, Airmen, Seamen, Guard, Seals...all of the military men and women who have fought before and after then have nothing less than all my respect.

I was thinking about all of these American Heroes and how I had always wanted to grow up and be one when I was younger, but then when I got older I discovered that I am just not made for it. So I'm going to do what I can from home, I'm going to support and love the ones that I can, and I will hopefully be able to help them from the civilian side of things....

and then it hit me.

I never thanked you.

So...Thank you.

Thank you for deciding that you wanted to serve and protect this country and the people in it. My friends and family included. I am proud to say that I know you, and not just because you are my boyfriend and a great person, but because by joining the Air Force you have shown that you are willing to put others well being before your own. It's a bittersweet thing that I respect.
