This series of photographs have a cinematic approach to viewing a world of being lost and alone. To escape a place full of confusion and frustration some people will separate themselves from civilisation and retreat to a secret location that they feel safe. I haven’t documented this situation, instead I have staged it. The story was already there, I have had times where I have wanted to get away. I asked the models create a reflection of how I have felt before and try to blend in with their surroundings, make it look like they do not want to be noticed. I took these photographs in several locations, abandoned areas which was overgrown and left to wilt. The location of the shoot had to match the mood the model was portraying. This project evaluates the importance of allowing yourself time to be able to escape from the busy life you have.
