A white clock ticks 

With hollow sound 

High from the ground 

Its hands turn round 

 And as it goes on ticking 

On by night and day

Its hands begin reaching; 

White clock turning gray

Its numbers fade and leave 

As each second is reported 

It is more than you perceive 

For time here has distorted 

 Reaching from up high 

Its arms keep on expanding 

To take from those nearby; 

Lifetime it is demanding 

 With none willing to lose it 

The blackened clock slows 

Stopping in a sputtering fit 

The cut is deepened by the thorn

Alone in this desolate town, 

it grows stronger on its own 

See right through this empty and shelled heart 

See right through my wounded part 

Capture what you seek and I will become your salvation 

No army will take you away nor will it be your isolation 

Long ago, the forest has forgotten your soul

remembered for more than just a toil 

Your last words were not forsaken 

Instead, you were awaken.
