tl;dr joker did not make harley. harley is better off without joker. this is development for her. poison ivy is not there to appeal to the masses. this is a relationship that was built through the years and it’s a very supportive relationship for harley in terms of her growth and freedom.

oh man, oh man, do i have some words right now.

so i guess some people still have a problem over the fact that harley quinn broke away from the joker and are upset over the fact she’s now together with poison ivy. lemme say that there is no reason to be angry about this and if you’re angry over it, get over yourself.

harley is finally getting the chance to live her own life and make her own decisions. she is no longer being controlled by a man who literally abused her, beat her, manipulated her, whatever. she is now finding herself, she is expressing herself, she is being the harley quinn some of us always imagined and hoped for. harley is finally being herself.

not only that, but poison ivy has always cared for harley. if you ever look back, ivy was kind of always there. shit, in gotham city sirens, ivy and selina went to try and take out joker to finally break harley from him. they have done so much for harley. they have helped harley so many times, have been there for her recovery and have been there to help her push through her darkest moments. not to mention, ivy has probably and actually forgiven harley so many times for going back to joker. ivy is always there for her, she cares for her. ivy lets harley be the person she was always destined to be. she loves her deeply, she will do anything for her.

i’m sorry, but in my eyes, joker did not make harley. what he ultimately did was break her. he turned her into an item, she was property to him and always was. look back through anything, it was all just an act with him. you all can point out that he cared for her maybe here and there, but that doesn’t even begin to match up with the many times he has hurt her.

yes, because love is throwing someone into acid. love is definitely sending someone to their death in a rocket. love is totally choking her out and pistol whipping her. oh, and we can’t forget that love is shooting her.

harley moving on from the joker is development for her, it is her becoming her own. there is nothing romantic or adorable regarding the relationship between harley and the joker. if you’re looking for a relationship that’s romantic or adorable, looks towards harley and poison ivy. ivy deeply cares for her. shit, she has done so much for harley, she has dedicated so much of her time to help harley out and she’s been so supportive of harley. not to mention how supportive she is in their relationship and how she allows harley to do what she feels and to see whoever she wants as long as it makes her happy. ivy wishes harley to finally be happy, to live a fulfilling life because now is her chance.

harley quinn is her own person. she is not property. she is a grown woman finally taking control of her life. if you can’t get past that, there is something wrong with you. joker constantly abused her for years, her broke her down completely. poison ivy on the other hand works to raise harley up, to show her what she’s capable of. she allows harley her freedom and encourages it.
