𝐈𝐓'𝐒 𝐒𝐎 𝐔𝐍𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐑.  she understands,  but she doesn’t at the same time.  every emotion is flooding throughout her system as she sat here by adam,  but the one thing she is feeling the strongest in this moment is confusion.  everything was okay,  they were happy  &  in love.  but now,  she sat here,  her heart breaking into a million pieces,  &  there is not a single thing she can do to stop it.  gamora never could love someone,  she was an assassin.  she was cold-hearted,  she took things from other’s.  

                    but when it came to him,  she allowed herself to be selfish,  &  allowed herself to love.  she allowed herself to want a future with him  &  only him.  after so long,  she could rest  &  feel happy.  waking up  &  going to sleep,  feeling that cheerful buzz in her heart,  because now she had someone who allowed her to feel love over fear.  she should have been more wary when it came to being happy.  she should have known it was not guaranteed,  especially for someone like her.  for so long,  she spent on reshaping herself,  &  working to make herself happy.  when she could finally admit that she liked who she was,  she met him,  adam,  one of the only people she could allow herself to love.

                    you could be the best person in the world,  yet be forced to suffer the most.  life wasn’t fair,  she was trained to believe that.  she knew happiness wasn’t guaranteed even to the kindest souls,  but she had hoped she would be the exception.  sitting here now,  she understood that happiness was simply not in her destiny.  it was just a distraction.  &  now,  she’s angry.  angry for allowing herself to believe that she,  the fiercest woman in the galaxy,  could ever be given a happy ending. 

                    it just didn’t make sense.
