# LESSASTYLES : dreams are meant to be dreams, and that was the case of alessa. she had left her home country, puerto rico, to pursue professional wrestling. it wasn't an easy process, but she was determined to become a wrestler— to get into the ring with wrestlers she had inspired her to do so. unfortunately, she had become exhausted with extensive training. all the brutal bumps she'd endured and the bruises that would form it. she had stopped training after 2 years. it felt she had given up too quickly without thinking, but her body was telling her differently. it had become a pipe dream, or so she thought.
alessa would find ways to still be part of the world she wanted to be in. she tried everything and was ready to give up until a miracle happened. becoming a gear designer wasn't in her book, but it was better than nothing, right? she had somewhat experience when it came to sewing but wasn't a professional. that is when she decided to teach herself by watching videos and tutorials or simply winging it and hoping for the best. slowly, her work had gone from a crappy scraps to creating the most beautiful and iconic gears from japan, mexico, and the states. every wrestler who were legends had come to her to make their ideas come to life.
she'd get sad because it reminded her she wasn't in the ring like she wanted to but sucked it up because she was lucky to be part of this industry. years later, alessa is grateful for working with all elite wrestling and has been with them since the beginning.
if she were honest, alessa always thinks of the “what if's” too often, which is why she drowned herself into her craft instead. it soothed her and made her forget about it. she may get too caught up in her work, but it was better than overthinking.
not many people know of her rough upbringing. how it wasn't the way she thought it would be growing up. all the things she had endured and the pain she needed to pretend it didn't hurt her when, in reality, it did. very few people know about it, and it's her small circle. there was no point in talking about it. the past is the past, and she would never look back. her skeletons would stay in the closet she'd never open. wrestling was the reason that kept her sanity intact. hence why she wanted to be in the ring but became a gear designer instead after her training stopped.
her mother wasn't exactly kind to her and would compare her to others constantly and the harsh words that would come out of her venomous mouth while her father wasn't there. he was there physically but not emotionally. it wasn't like she despised the man since he was a stranger who happened to be her father.

i used to work with stardom briefly before i left in 2019. if i’m being honest, i enjoyed working over there. it wasn’t because of going out and getting drinks with fellow co-workers after a show was over. that’s a bonus, actually. it’s cause working over gave me creative freedom. it’d broaden my horizons as one says. made me come up with ideas i never even thought of. which why i decided to do a collab with @glitzglamx because she’s an incredible gear designer as well. probably better than me with the work she comes out with and always in awe by it.
i couldn’t go to japan to see our work but stayed up late when i should be sleeping. i love women and wrestling. can you really blame me? here are the gears we created together. hopefully i get to do this more often since stardom is where i truly began even if i was there for only a short period.
