Another day, another city. This time Dave found himself in Detroit, and while he didn’t really mind it, the hotel wasn’t as accommodating as the one in Chicago. It was nice, don’t get him wrong, but their workout equipment wasn’t nearly as expansive as he’d have liked and because of that, he found himself heading to a local gym to test their facilities. After a few hours, and covered in a thick sheen of sweat, Dave walked back to the hotel and decided, instead of the elevator, he’d take the stairs as an addition to his cool-down cardio.

As soon as he opened the door, however, he heard a thud and his adrenaline immediately perked up, pumping through his veins as he bounded the stairs. On the third floor landing was Madison, his bandmate’s twin sister, and while he and her had a small connection - as he had asked her some advice on how to come out in the spotlight - they weren’t necessarily close because it was obvious that he was more on Mason’s side rather than hers.

But not right now.

“Shit, Madison… are you okay?”

Okay, so, if we wanted to get technical, Madison wasn’t the best when it came to doing things that required great dexterity and skill. You’d think that after years of being a cheerleader in high school, and plenty of dance training would make her less of a klutz, but Madison’s clumsiness had less to do with grace and more to do with the fact that she normally didn’t pay attention to where she was walking. So when she, Madison McCarthy, lost in thought and completely distracted, missed a step and went tumbling face first down an entire flight of stairs, she very quickly realized that she needed to start paying attention.

“Uh...” Madison called, feeling her breath catch up in her throat. It was now almost impossible to form words. “I don’t-- I don’t know--” she didn’t want to be the stupid girl who cried, and she was relieved hat she wasn’t, but the whole thing was a complete shock to her system. 

Once she’d finally got the wind back in her lungs, she attempted to stand and walk on her right foot, but limped her way around the landing. Madison carefully put herself on a step. “I think I did something to my foot.”
