“stop!”  she hissed silently, leaning a bit closer under a false pretense of grabbing her drink, when in reality she simply had to close the distance between them so that they could hear her clearly. at the same time she swatted their hand from under the table before the most innocent smile graced her face whilst the was listening to people on the other side. saying something… boring. but she must not think of the hand. must. NOT.

Skylar froze, a deer in headlights at the woman’s question. For the most part, she was good at her job. And she liked it– she made decent commissions and knew that if she kissed the owner’s ass enough, he’d eventually help her get the design job she always wanted. 

But whenever a gorgeous woman walked through those doors, which happened often enough, it took her more than a few moments to gain enough composure to be able to form a coherent sentence. She just had to convince herself to focus on making the sale. “I’d go with the red,” she answered, somehow calmly as she pushed any lingering thoughts from her mind and forced a smile. “We’ll always have the black set. You can always come back for it. But the red was a special edition and we only have limited stock.” She nodded towards the back corner of the store. “I’ll go open up a room for you back there. Let me know if you need anything else.”

“i’m sure they all already know that about you,” remy teased back, a shit-eating grin ever so present on her face. she followed her girlfriend over to the counter, hopping up on it and making herself comfortable. “ah, it’s nothing. i’m happy to come bring you lunch. it gives me an excuse to bug you at work,” she reasoned with a soft chuckle, reaching into one of the containers tyler had opened and stealing some fries. “plus… i get to distract you.” she raised her eyebrows suggestively, then popped the fries into her mouth. “you’ve been working so hard… i’m sure you could really use it, baby.”

“Actually, I didn’t. I’ve just been calling you Croissant Girl, but Logan is much more fitting,” Cecily teased, her grin widening as her head cocked slightly. She knew flirting with her customers probably wasn’t the best idea, but sometimes, she just couldn’t help herself. “I’m Cecily. And I have to say, Logan, you’re almost always my first customer of the day. Mind me asking what in the world you’re doing out here so early?”
