In the Apophenia series, I take advantage of the psychological phenomena in which one perceives patterns and connections where none exist. I want to encourage viewers to bring their own views to the piece and interpret it as they see fit. The patterns in the shapes and shadows are meant to play off of one another to create a sense of mystique or anxiety for the unknown.
