It had always been a matter of when, rather than if this would happen.
Perhaps it was some millionaire jerks doing, that cursed land finally bought outâ but construction equipment surrounded that old, worn-down manor. A bulldozer ready to destroy and tear those those rotten walls⌠and unfortunately, those two bots didnât have a current backup plan as to where to go.
There wasnât much they could take with them, Silver found a temporary spot to hide their smaller belongings at least⌠he always thought theyâd have more time, but there really was no good timing to suddenly be homeless.
As easy as it would be to make that construction crew into a total bloodbathâ it wouldnât be the most strategically sound choice. Silver has been lucky enough to be regarded as an urban legend for so many yearsâ and the consequences that waited if he were to prove that legend true were just too dangerous to risk. The last thing they needed was national attentionâ as even Silver held his doubts about taking on an actual army.
As the wrecking ball swung, scattering debris of what once was their home, Locustâs voice speaks up, the two watching from a wooded spot on the sidelines.
ââŚI t-think Iâve got an idea of where taâ go for now.â
Golden eyes look down to the copper bot, a sigh escaping Silverâs lips. ââŚIâve got a bad feeling about this.â
