people throw the term queerbait around a lot but to be clear grif and simmons in red vs blue were 100% queerbait. the writers obviously knew about the ship, consistently made jokes about it both in and out of universe, and used it in extra advertising content like the QvsA's, etc, all for no actual pay off. it crossed the line and it was the queerest bait ever set
