I don’t care if they’re tall or short.

I don’t care what race they are.

I don’t care about their body type.

I don’t care if they’re broke or rich.

I don’t care about their skin or any imperfections it might have.

I don’t care about age. (20 something to 60 something is literally completely okay with me. Ageism is shit.)

I don’t care about what they’re packing beneath the clothes or what it looks like.

I pretty much only care about personality and interests. That’s what makes up “my type,” when I say “you’re not my type.” I’m taking about your personality.

Despite being the main character who is a good guy, Gi Hun is also so deeply flawed. We see him as such a fucking loser when the first episode starts. Gi hun is somebody who accepts having a financial life that teeters in the wind, uses his mom for money, gambles all his money away, and makes no efforts for real change— and it negatively affects both his mom and his daughter. But just like everyone else, he has his reasons for being who he is. Something deeply traumatizing happened to him, and he never picked himself back up after that. There was no motivation to do so. He likely associated trying again with failing and getting hurt. It’s sad.

But Gi Hun enters the games and another spark is placed in him after he sees people who are so down on their luck, get used and killed for sick entertainment. He wants to fight against this injustice. So he re-enters the game.
