AKA why I think exorsexism is totally the right word, and not just because it’s fun to say.

XOR is a type of computer thing! Who doesn’t love discussing gender in computer logic terms? I mean, okay, probably not most people, and I realize that, but bear with me, because here in a minute, you’re going to love it too.

XOR, (the Exclusive Or operation) analyzes two variables to see if the combination of them is valid.

An XOR run on gender would look something like this:

If Male=True and Female=True: NOT VALID If Male=True and Female=False: VALID If Male=False and Female=True: VALID If Male=False and Female=False: NOT VALID

Enforcing an XOR of gender (that is to say, “exorsexism” or “exornormativity” as I am currently calling it) basically states that the only allowable genders are wholly, exclusively male and wholly, exclusively female. To be identify in any other way is not considered valid.

it's an accessibility tool i made for myself because i needed it, which basically lets you focus on one sentence at a time as you read large blocks of texts (books, articles, etc.). it offers different highlight styles, some of which use gradients to help guide your eyes from the start of the sentence until the end. you can move forward and back pressing the buttons or using ALT + left and right arrow keys if you use it and you find it helpful please tell me about it so i can have the motivation to keep improving it. i love knowing people use my tools

Doesn't quite work on tumblr but it is a good idea.
