i’m not surprised at all that easthies’ punishment for rampaging on the witches and outsiders is basically a slap on the wrist. demotion and house arrest (it’s like he’s been grounded by his mom) make sense because vinanna doesn’t even disagree with what easthies did. she blatantly tells luluci she would’ve done the same if the circumstance wasn’t special. the only people saying he went too far are utowin and luluci, but i’m not sure they’re upset because his actions were morally wrong. they see this situation as a personal betrayal. at least utowin definitely does.
