every instance of abuse she disclosed has either electronic evidence as live video replays, discord texts, or witness statements of her friends and staff members being threatened on her behalf. so many people assumed she was being too forgiving and kind to him to not speak negatively on his character but that alone makes her case 10x stronger. gonna have to be real with you anon i do not think of samjack enough to have very solid thoughts on them, but samjack and wincest under one roof is very comedic to me. dean being alright with the new addition until he realises that sam genuinely prefers spending time with jack because he's getting the chance to introduce someone to this world like he wishes someone did for him, that the world isn't just made up of teeth looking to tear you up.

It's not like he was behaving all composed and stable in the warehouse, dude was losing his mind and he just let his very recognisable hero roam around like that for hours ? and send miss J after him? Matter of fact, we see everyone who's got chemical fear on their skin turned in seconds, if not minutes. Nice was.. okay for hours.

And yeah I found his choice of words odd too, tho it's probably the closest confirmation we'll get that Wreck was using fear for his power but then it would have to be some insanely stabilised variant. idk, Wreck's powers are fascinating to me. strong enough to change material reality, not a hero so no trust value but wasn't on the commission's radar?

I was discussing with someone today that Shang De probably orchestrated the plane crash to get Split's body, so he was definitely going all in on the fear research.

My best guess? Nice was an experiment to develop a stabilised organic fear driven hero. Enough manipulation and grooming to keep him under his thumb, but enough power to not have to rely on public opinion or self belief. Probably upped the ante, pushed the speed after his son dies. Now he needs revenge faster than results.

it makes sense why there's organic fear sludge seeping out the fractures in his body. It's neither lab grown like shindig and nor amplified by one event like bowa (though i think it's more similar to that than not), it's fear that's been festering in him for 6 years or more (if the flashback was literal and not metaphorical) and it's been the only thing holding him together.

Lin Ling reached top 10 twice because he has, what's called in the current job market as, "high agency". He makes decisions with his own will and doesn't wait on hand and foot for the next instruction because A. he has experience working in a fast paced industry where you need to make autonomous creative directions and should need little to no micro management and B. he has an ability to connect with common men and their motivations (as seen in wolf girl arc). His unique factor was that he was very earnest in whatever he did, and wasn't trying to uphold company image.

Nice seemed like he was conditioned to work on Shang De's behest and without a firm hand on his shoulder guiding him around, he's prone to fumbling. This is not to say that he has no agency. It's to highlight that his agency was never fostered well. From what we see, Shang De pulls his strings by mixing in the anxiety of losing something or another. Which can kickstart his gears (space ship) or paralyse him with fear of consequence (smile arc). It's a very gambler style of management if you think about it. Can't say if this fear makes him too self involved or his self involvement amplifies this fear, either way, it's a trait unbecoming of a hero (Hell, dragon boy reached the top cause he was community service oriented)

When Nice asks himself "did fear make me weak?" he was right. fear (the feeling, not the substance) did make him weak.

And now we'll see if fear (the substance, not the feeling) makes any difference.
