੭﹕﹒he isn't stupid though, he can tell your in pain and moves beside you.

੭﹕﹒once you've explained everything, he becomes familiar with it all and assists you with anything like it's muscle memory (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

੭﹕﹒i think he's really good at figuring out when you're on your period, maybe determined by your mood and how you feel.

੭﹕﹒he's definitely the most comforting. in certain ways he goes about helping you, whether it be his soothing presence or even just holding you (⇀‸↼‶)

੭﹕﹒he's decently informed, but seems genuinely curious on how your mood might vary so quickly!

੭﹕﹒in the weeks coming up before valentines day, he doesn't shut up, talking about some big surprise he has for you but doesn't specify what it is (¬_¬")

੭﹕﹒when it eventually does come, he doesn't let you leave bed till the early afternoon. lie-in's are his favourite!

੭﹕﹒after that, he attempts to cook you late breakfast. you appreciate his efforts more than the actual food, and it was nice he tried.. (..◜ᴗ◝..)

੭﹕﹒for him, he doesn't necessarily want to go anywhere super fancy. but! he does prepare a nice little addition to the dinner table, all candles and flowers.

sweet nothings ˖᯽ ݁˖

The bitterness of the cold, grainy air hit you the second you awoke. Who had opened the window? It was the middle of February, it was freezing! You sat up, quilt wrapped around you, looking around for some kind of answer. You hated the cold, like anyone else. But yours was a proper hate, why couldn’t it be sunny and nice all the time? Either way, you didn’t want to get up from bed to close the window, nor leave it open though. To your own surprise, the culprit walked in.

“Love, what are you doing sat up? Y’look like you’ve seen a ghost.” A voice spoke, snapping you back from your glare at the window. It was Paul, he must’ve left it open. How cruel, he knew you hated the cold!

“It’s freezing Paul.” Your response was dry, an indication for him to close the window.

He tilted his head, confused by your words. Maybe he was a little drowsy from sleep himself, then suddenly, the lightbulb flicked on in his head. He chuckled softly, moving to the window and closing it shut.

“Sorry, had it open in the night while you were sleeping.” A somewhat sly grin, yet ever so sympathetic fell upon his lips.

You rolled your eyes, flopping back down on the bed and wrapping yourself up. Your head hit the pillow reluctantly, considering you could get up right now. Maybe sort yourself out for the day, make a tea, something that’d wake you up. But your body was practically refusing, the nippy air hitting your skin would probably cause you to crawl back to bed either way.

“Do you want me to flick the heating on?” Paul asked, kneeling to where your face resided against the pillow. He was thoughtful, but still cheeky. Like he knew he could use this as an advantage to get an extra hour in bed.

You nodded, almost immediately.

He grinned, before toddling off to hopefully make the place a little warmer.

A sigh left you. Finding yourself a little more toasty and comfortable against the quilt, pillows starting to feel more and more like clouds. You shut your eyes, hoping to find some additional sleep.

That was until two arms wrapped around you, tapping against your ribs as if they were some kind of drumset. You felt gentle kisses being splattered against your cheek, neck, anywhere that was available. You could fight off whoever this intruder might be. But you knew it was Paul.

“I’m trying to get some more sleep.” You spoke hastily. Eyes unfortunately reopening. You could only see him in the corner of your eye, since facing him fully would just give him full advantage to smother your face.

“You have to pay your fee, sweetheart.” He replied in a sing-song voice, lifting himself up slightly to kiss your forehead repeatedly. 

His arms wrapped around you further to pull you close, kissing your shoulders, your back. Literally anywhere he could reach.

“Wouldn’t hurt you to stay awake a little longer. Just wanna show you how much you mean to me.” He chuckled warmly against the back of your hair, playing with strands delicately, also moving it out of the way so he could aim for the back of your neck.

Another sigh escaped you. You flipped yourself to face him. In which he had an immediate grin on his face.

The once cold air was replaced by the warmness of the bed, along with Paul. So maybe the morning wasn’t too bad.

yes! sorry i didn't write this sooner, i find myself so unmotivated on days where i'm the least busiest (╥﹏╥) my mind is too confusing. also i know george got into gardening in 1970 but shhh.. i don't really have a set year for my writing unless specified in the request, but i sort of imagined 1966 (˶˃⤙˂˶)

⚘ blooming beauties

You ran your hands against the flowers of the garden gently, as if to graze the feeling of the petals. They’d bloomed beautifully since spring had come, and it was a nice view to look over when seeing them from the window. You didn’t really expect moving in with George to be so peaceful, but it was a lot better than the hundreds of fans practically terrorising you both day to day.

“Do they look alright?” A voice interrupted your hazed vision, lifting your head to see George. He really had a newfound passion for gardening. You thought it was sweet, seeing him so relaxed just by the sight of greenery.

“Mhm, they look lovely.” You spoke with a smile, lifting yourself up to stand beside him.

He grinned, moving to wrap an arm around your waist. His head rested upon yours, while his thumb gently moved against your hip. The warmness of everything was almost comforting. George beside you, the sunny, spring sky glowing against your skin. All of it, it just felt peaceful in a way.

“Didn’t realise I’d enjoy it here this much.” He added, a relaxed sigh leaving his lips. The calm ambience of the subtle wind, trees delicately blowing among the scenery. It really did put your mind at ease, being a nice distraction from everything. Practically an escape.

Another sigh left him. This one seemed more displeased.

“What’s wrong?” You asked curiously. Surely nothing that bad could ruin this moment right now.

“Still got loads to do. Just remembered.” George replied, a slight furrow in his brows and scrunch of his nose.

A small frown fell upon your lips. Obviously that was the only down side of moving, having to unpack, set up new appliances, all that business.

“You could always take a break. Wouldn’t kill you.” You suggested, considering he had been putting lots of stuff away since waking up. Plus, he hadn’t sat down once today.

A small smile switched his thin-line of a lip. Of course he wouldn’t mind a break, if it meant he was spending it with you. 

“Go on then.” A quiet hum of laughter left him, pulling you closer to soothe his previous stress. He pressed a gentle kiss to the side of your head, before returning his gaze to the pretty view of the garden.

He really had put a lot of effort into it, so you couldn’t blame him for admiring his own hard work.

You beamed to yourself, maybe just at the sight of him in such a trance. Maybe just the delicate simplicity of it all. Whichever it was, you didn’t mind. You were just happy to be there with him.

thank you ever so much! i'll do let it be era since i rewatched get back documentary not to long ago (,,>ヮ<,,) wrote half of this in same night as my last post because i couldn't sleep goodness me. i also got two vinyls today, yipeee!

◞♡ bittersweet kisses

“I’m sick of this.”

“Sort yourself out. Don’t come find me, you aren’t worth my time right now.”

George shouted, staring at you with those brown eyes that could pierce through your soul every time. He walked out of the living room, shuffling his coat off and leaving it abandoned along the hallway.

Tears streamed from your eyes, wiping them quickly as if they were evidence to dispose of.

You knew there were problems. Nothing was exactly perfect right now, but it would all be alright in the end, right? It was just a simple argument. But, the issue was, he just seemed a bit more angry than usual. He’d normally excuse himself to avoid shouting at you, or go for a walk to clear his head. This time? It was like it’d been building up for weeks, and it’d finally come undone.

George was far from the serious type. If anything he knew exactly how to cheer you up, but now? It just felt off. Like he couldn’t stand the idea of even being near you. Maybe you were just overthinking a little, you were bound to. But the way he practically spilled all those hurtful words onto you, then walked off like it was nothing? That didn’t feel healthy, as well as normal. Nonetheless, it only felt fair you took a minute for yourself as well.

You took a seat on the settee, sinking into the cushions as all the weight you’d been carrying upon your shoulders practically lifted off. Maybe you both were stressed, but it just didn’t feel fair. You didn’t shout at him, you simply wanted to diffuse the situation. Plus, you’d only asked a question. Another reluctant sigh left you, feeling a familiar itch that told you to go find him. He’d surely be in the bedroom, or somewhere in the house. Not exactly far. 

Then again, he was the one who started this mess. So he should be the one coming to you. But still, it just felt so confusing, what had made him so angry to just lash out at you like that?

Tears started forming in your eyes again, no matter how desperately you tried to hold them back. You fiddled with the sofa’s material, trying to distract yourself from the bitter taste in your mouth.

Around ten minutes passed, and you were still crying. It didn’t help the fact you’d be left with your own thoughts. The dazed atmosphere of the living room, feeling almost empty and eerie without George beside you.

To your surprise, you heard footsteps from the hallway.

It was George, who else would it be? He stood there in the doorway momentarily, not making eye contact, but your sniffles said enough. He took a breath, before sitting on the sofa beside you. Keeping distance at first, like he wasn’t sure if you exactly wanted him near him.

You stayed silent. He kept quiet as well, as if to test the waters of how you felt with him next to you. If anything, you missed it more than you thought, even if he only disappeared for ten minutes.

A heavy sigh left him before speaking, just reflecting on his own actions.

“Didn’t mean to shout like that. Really didn’t.” George spoke quietly. Not quiet enough where you couldn’t hear him, but quiet so you wouldn’t run off like a skittish animal.

“I don’t want you to think I’m always going to shout, I really don’t. Just, everything's been so all over the place.” You let him speak, wanting him to at least get his own words out first before jumping to conclusions.

“Just the stress of everything recently, it’s like I can’t have a minute to think. Then it only gets worse when I feel like shit for being cold to you. It isn’t fair, and I shouldn’t act like that towards you.”

“..I didn’t mean to make you cry either. I’m real sorry, love.” He sounded genuine, more genuine than the hurtful words he spat earlier. You knew he would just say stuff to deflect. Spoke words where he knew it would hurt the most. 

He didn’t expect you to respond. But he also didn’t want the silent treatment. George placed his hand atop of yours where it rested upon your knee, thumb gently moving against your skin.

“You don’t have to accept my apology. But I can’t stand you being quiet.” He added, eyes meeting your blurry gaze from the tears. There was real sorrow in his pupils, so you knew he wanted to make things right.

“No, it’s alright. I just didn’t know you’d shout like that.” You replied quietly.

“I’d rather you speak about how you feel than bottle it all up.” It was hard to dismiss the way he never wanted to talk about his emotions. He just didn’t want to burden you with those issues.

George nodded. Biting the inside of his cheek, trying to think of a solution to repair the situation. He moved closer, wrapping an arm around your shoulder. He didn’t pull you closer, he wanted you to do that on your own accord, since he’d rather you decide whether it was okay or not currently.

Almost instantly, your head was against his shoulder. Still sniffling, but the crying had faded into the warmer atmosphere of George holding you.

His head fell upon yours, kissing the top of your head softly.

“Don’t want to argue with you. Would rather have this every night.” George stated, voice ever so muffled as he spoke into your hair.

You thought that was a fair deal. A small smile fell upon your once quivering lips from the crying, now replaced with the curve of your lips.
