Had to interrupt the binge of Taken 2 because someone stole my fucking debit cards
I did eventually rewatch Taken 2, preceded by Taken 1 and followed by half of Taken 3 (the second half, if you were wondering). I did this while suffering the single worst migraine of my life. Many plot holes. Decent action. At least two moments that made me laugh and then cry from Migraine Pain. 7/10 Recommend.
I have decided I will be watching all the Insidious movies, or as many as I feel like. I will report back.
I never reported back, I guess. I remember so very little except the fact that the lighting work is spectacularly bad, a whole child just vanishes from the plot halfway through movie one, and also I don't think I ever had a single idea what was happening except to say that Patrick Wilson was somehow to blame.
“Firework season really does exist just to say “fuck you” to everyone in earshot, doesn’t it”

Happy birthday to the reason I made an account on this hellsite. Coming in relatively late this year, as I only noticed them about two weeks ago.
That said, I also was completely baffled because, having lost all genuine sense of time and space, in my mind it was some magical non-linear nondenominational time between August and September, and I truly could not comprehend the presence of fireworks in the absolute non-season I believed myself to presently exist in.
Finally getting around to watching the Sonic movies, anyway yes Robotnik and Stone are my favorite problematic gay couple. I adore them.

Sometimes I still hear my voice
I'm trying to watch the Owl House again (context speedrun any percent I've been having some neurospicy emotional overload when engaging with content) anyway yall *by which I mean the abyss bc I do not know if anyone actually follows my weirdness and I'm too afraid to check* get my live freakouts. It's a win for me. No one else. Suffer.
ANYWAY Hi Eda is casual Disability/Mental Illness representation and I've had a recent rough patch so let me tell you that I am WAY too emotional over this.
Somehow it took until this watch of The Princess Bride to fully appreciate the gay energy between Rugen and Humperdink. Truly a wild and perfectly matched couple.
Thinking about how in the DCU world, "Adopted by Bruce Wayne"/"Sold to Bruce Wayne" probably has like 20,000+ fics on AO3.

Y'all
so due to the condensing of two of my medications (higher dosage less quantity of pills) I am now only taking three pills in the evenings and lemme tell you. As someone very used to scarfing down a whole handful of like 6-ish bits twice a day. This is very weird.
Time again, for Panic Attack Bathroom Reviews! Today’s feature is Ipcress and Zachariah, because my fake names continue to degrade in quality and comprehensibility. Anyway, let’s get into it!
So while I’m not having a panic attack, I am severely low on spoons at the moment, which likely lowers my standards. This said, the bathroom is a short hallway removed from the restaurant, which is a big plus. The hallway is chill as well, for what it’s worth. Bathroom is pleasantly cool, and while there’s definitely kitchen noise it’s otherwise pretty quiet. Little bit of white noise from the fan, but the nice kind.
The stalls, unfortunately, are not any kind of the fun full-room varietals, but they’re clean. Metal walls as well, which is always nice for sensory stuff (for me at least). No overwhelming scents, just something lightly floral. Broadly, I’d say that this is definitely a more minimalist approach to panic attack bathrooms, but still serviceable. 7/10, would Panic Again
Addendum: I do feel I should note that I did briefly get stuck inside the stall. However the actual bathroom door was quite aesthetically pleasing, so I’ll balance it and keep my 7/10 score.

It would be fun to write a ghost story about a protagonist that disbelieves in the paranormal so hard that it stop existing around them.
They pick a soaking wet teenaged girl ghost in their cab and take her home. They pull up to the house and ghost girl looks longingly out before resigning herself to be sent back to the roadside.
Protagonist is just like, “so that’s $14.50.”
The ghost is surprised, she’s still there. She fumbles for cash but she didn’t die with any.
Does she feel oddly warmer than normal?
The seat more solid against her skin?
The protagonist sighs, “of course.”
They couldn’t just leave a teenage girl out there on the side of the road in the middle of the night, something bad could have happened to her. But he still had bills to pay.
“Come on. This is your parent’s house right? I’ll walk you in.”
For the first time in twenty years the ghost opens the car door and steps out onto the sidewalk.
The protagonist knocks on the front door and her parents, use to the midnight visits, wearyily open the door.
She starts to cry and hugs her parents tight. Apologizing for sneaking out. Babbling about what happened to her. How her friends had egged her into going deeper into the woods. How they had gotten separated. She’d fallen into a river.
Her parents are crying too. She finally made it home. They finally had confirmation of what happened to her. No body had been found so they were never truly sure.
The protagonist awkwardly interrupts, “so there’s still the matter of her cab fair...”
They don’t want to be insensitive but they need to get going and bills don’t pay themselves.
Eagerly her father rummages around in the pockets of his coat hanging by the door and pushing a twenty dollar bill into the protagonist’s hand. He knows it’s more than enough.
They thank the protagonist for bring her home, “keep the change,” they tell him.
As the protagonist gets in their cab and drives away the ghost can feel herself slipping away from life once more. But not back to the river and woods, waiting endlessly for someone to pull over and offer her a ride.
Her unfinished business is complete.
She’s moving on.
To somewhere warm and bright, she can feel it.
Her parents press final kisses to her cheeks as she starts to go. Through tears they whisper, I love you’s.
She’s finally at rest and there are no more stories of vanishing girls picked up off the backwoods roads
One of these days I’ve got to finish up the other two story ideas featuring protagonist.
This one scene idea makes me laugh.
—
She howled out onto the road. “Where did you go?” That lily-livered loser couldn’t have gotten far, he and that backstabbing bitch were going to pay. This was her day!
The trees whipped in her fury, the asphalt cracked beneath her feet, she could feel strength beyond what her mortal body had been capable of.
Headlights turned the blind corner and she flew towards them.
There that bastard was. Two-timing snake. He was coming crawling back like she knew he was. She was going to rip him apart, limb by limb.
The brakes screamed.
She stumbled.
The cab slammed into her, tossing her over the hood and windshield.

Just the idea of a ghost getting hit by a car, it kills me.

I FOUND IT ON ACCIDENT
OK so total longshot but
Does anyone have a link to that story someone wrote (I believe on Tumblr) that's a riff on the 'Vanishing Hitchhiker' legend? In this version, the protagonist, a skeptic to the point of normalizing the world around them gets to the house, and rather than vanish, the ghost girl finds she's able to walk to the door. She rings the bell, speaks to her crying parents, is able to get closure, and departs for the light, all while the baffled protagonist is sitting there like "sorry could I get a few bucks for the gas?"

Using menstrual pads is like playing one of those defend-the-tower strategy games. Like if I place this here, and that there, I can fortify my borders while covering the weak spot the enemy snuck through last time...
and then you wake up in the morning and it's like "folly! the enemy has discovered a new back door!"
Welcome back to Rating Bathrooms by How Ok it would be to have a Panic Attack in them!
Today’s contestant is Officer C’s.
While it has a sort of bourgeois modernist vibe that probably belongs in a symbolic movie bathroom scene, I have to admit I kind of dig it. The stalls aren’t fully closed off into whole rooms, but they did close up the gaps with rubber so that’s nice.
Definitely too much music and it’s a bit too loud, plus this is next to the dishwashing area, altogether meaning it’s a bit overstimulating. Yet somehow, detached. Readers I am undecided.
5/10 - wouldn’t choose it, but probably wouldn’t be mad.
Tune in next time!
