NEW DOCS. CONSISTENT UPLOADS. 

Stepping back from commissions for the most part, I'm choosing to focus on putting out more docs for public use starting tomorrow. That's right, tomorrow, Dec 1st, 2:30 pm PST, I'll be posting a brand new doc.

Not only that but every FRIDAY for the next four weeks, I will be dropping a new doc. All of these docs are already completed (except for the last which is mostly finished) and ready to go. I want to see if a set, consistent schedule is something you are a fan of so it's really a test run. If this goes well, I'll plan to do another month in a similar fashion. Who knows, maybe January?

I don't want to spoil what docs are dropping but I am going to hint at the aesthetics so feel free to guess.

This is where I found them redistributing and had that post deleted but if you see this copy of Murcott anywhere else, please don't allow this person to use it. how to edit

All images on this doc are in "Drawings." To edit "drawings" simply right-click on where the image is, click "select image," and the box that pops up underneath has a button that says "edit." Edit will bring you to a pop-up window that will allow you to change the images by clicking "replace image" at the top right of the toolbar when clicking the picture.

Do not resize or paste any images into the doc, only use the method above.

The pictures on this doc are of Kedar Williams-Stirling, beautiful avatars made by ultra-violences, please go support this fantastic creator. The png images are found on pngtree, pngwing, and marginpar, edited in photoshop.

Changing the fonts may cause tables to shift and resize, be careful in doing this, and remember, ctrl+z is your friend, if something messes up, immediately undo. I do not recommend doing this.

The tables are structured in a way that will move pages and elements if their limit is exceeded, if you need more space, I highly recommend linking to a continuation at the end of that space.

May take a second to load on older pcs or poor wi-fi connections. On mobile, give it a second or close it and reopen it to have it load faster in print layout mode.

Thank you so much! No coding involved. Google Docs is basically like Microsoft word but less rigid, it allows you to do almost anything you like as long as you know how to manipulate its tools. I have a bit of a background in coding so, though it doesn't involve code, thinking about the layout of a doc like the page of a website is helpful. I only started making docs for character sheets three years ago when I started rping on Discord. Doc templates or doc character sheets are essential on Discord for literate rp and from the jump I saw the potential in the program. I made my own from the start and the first one I ever made was better than any I had ever seen (at the time) even though I had never done it before. (This is my first ever doc if you're curious) - this is my personal information and design, do not copy, do not steal. Definitely not my best anymore but still proud. Never even touched another template before then. I had no teacher, no tutorial. I just went in, played around, made my own rules. In fact, a lot of the things you see people do on doc templates these days, I was the first to do them. I've happily taught fellow creators how to make navigation bars using headers as a way to link to certain spots on a page, great ways on how to implement Drawings (not too much though, text on Drawings is inaccessible to many), even putting likes and dislikes in a list was uncommon before I did it. Like web design, there are trends in the doc world. Knowing the basics of how to make tables do what you want opens doors to everything but really, if you want to create something uniquely you, the best way to do it is just to play around, explore, and invent your own new uses. There no one answer to how to do it, more than one way to skin a cat. (Terrible phrase) I've created some "tutorial-ish" advice answered asks posts that you can read if you'd like more advice on how to up your doc game and if you or anyone ever has a question on "how did you do this on this doc?" or "I want to do this specific thing, how would you do that?", my dms are always open and if you want to talk on Discord, we can do that too. - How to get started/Breaking to learn - How to see in tables - Resources I use There might be other good advice in my other answered asks too. I try not to post too much other than important helpful information and my doc templates because I have a lot of followers I try to be respectful of. After accessing the full Google doc through the link on the PDF, select “file” and then “make a copy”

This template comes with its own tutorial, read those instructions first if you have questions. They are on the PDF that is emailed to you.

The easiest way to edit and change any of the images is to right-click on the image and then click “replace image” in order to change it. Do not copy and paste images into the doc, it will ruin the formatting.

Some images might need you to first right-click on the image and click "select image" if it does not automatically create a bounding box. After this step, you can change it to be "in front of text" and then proceed with the instructions above. Just make sure to change it back to behind text after.

This is something I've seen people doing even though it says on every one of my docs that redistributing is STEALING, I don't want this to come off as too aggressive and I'm sure you mean well but this is for everyone else, if you purchase a doc from me or any other creator, that doc is only meant to be used by YOU.

LETTING SOMEONE MAKE A COPY OF MY DOC FROM YOUR SINGLE PURCHASE IS STEALING USING ONE OF MY DOCS AS A SERVER TEMPLATE OR GROUP TEMPLATE IS STEALING

It is always stealing, has always been stealing. That is what redistributing is. You are giving other people my paid doc. The price of $5 is PER PERSON, while yes, that one person can use it for multiple of their own characters, they cannot give it to a friend, a server, ANYONE. Giving someone the link to my doc or letting them make a copy off of yours is stealing. If you would like a server template version of any of my docs, you can contact me for a commission but that will be at commission prices. I spend upwards of 16 hours on a single doc. If one person can just purchase it and give it to 100 people, that means I make $5 when I could have made $500 and making $5 for 16 hours of work is devastating.
