Managed to catch most of the Dec 9 techno stream, and I’d like to present to concept of Phil is Actually the Blood God. 

Think of it like a heat source and sink situation. When separated, power sink Phil has to put all of his energy into surviving and maintaining himself so he tends not to be overly violent in the first couple of weeks on the server, just trying to get resources and not die. 

Power source/battery Techno up til that point pre-retirement has constantly been burning energy, gaining resources, farming mobs, getting to buckwild XP levels etc and acts as the constant source of chaos and violence for anarchy’s sake. He’s like a cat in a super low humidity apartment mildly grouchy at how static electricity is constantly gathering on his fur and shocking everything he touches.

But now that Techno’s been ‘retired’, esp from the turtle stream, Phil is now powered by the vassal of the blood god. 

When they encounter the iron golems, techno goes out of his way to heal those guardians of villages and do trades and collect pets, while Hardcore Mode Phil ransacks villages, mercilessly kills iron golems for the paltry iron bars they give, then slaughtering the villagers. 

 Techno seems to mellow out with Phil by his side, but Phil’s proximity to Techno makes him more brutal. 

@mcyt-quotes made a post about how canonically Phil gets bloodthirstier around Techno, and she’s right. Phil’s goofed on how Techno “Makes him smell blood in the water” re SMPEarth before. 

From a meta point of view, of course you can afford to be more reckless/attack offensive with a pvp god trailing behind you like a lost duckling at the HINT of a baby zombie noise. 

House of 1000 Corpses: Loud, hyperactive, probably smells like a Summer themed candle, his kisses are hungry and new every time, wears shorts in the Winter, hasn’t read a book in like three years, probably needs to take a show

Scream: Every other sentence is a joke, plays way too many horror video games, always wants to cuddle, his kisses are gentle and loving, wears too many chains, dyed hair

Insidious: Would happily kill a man over monopoly, takes every opportunity he can to use his tarot deck, collects crystals and will for sure gift other people them, he never kisses without a smile on his face, probably collects stuffed animals

Halloween: Collects trinkets of every kind, has like 12 blankets on his bed, his hands are always cold, every inch of his walls are covered with art, gives himself stick n pokes, his kisses are hesitant, but warm, probably needs to clean his room

The Boy: Plays like 5 instruments, will listen to Reagan Youth as loud as he possibly can at 4 am, loves haunted houses, kisses like he’ll never be able to again, will binge one show four times in a row, writes punk songs about love

Everybody’s cracking jokes about how it’s a desperate attempt to stay relevant in the age of Amazon.

You can’t even begin to comprehend the massive amounts of money this place makes, despite the fact that they turned the theatre boxes into reading nooks like this:

I’ve literally spent days holed up in there reading books for free while also consuming massive amounts of coffee and pastries.
