Many times I have wondered about the challenge of always going in-between of music and engineering. Questions of similarity and how the two don't seem to go along. However, I have gone long enough on both sides to realise that even though each has its purpose, they both work together to make [my] life what is. To a large extent, they both represent different approaches and paradigms. Whereas we expand on engineering, we explore on music. A man can easily appreciate and perform music at a high level without special knowledge of what he is doing, but it will be hard for the same man to appreciate and 'perform' engineering without the special, low-level knowledge needed of an engineer. Whereas engineering mostly applies to our physical lives, music seems to apply to a part of us that is intangible yet in no way negligible. And then, music came first, but engineering can keep us living longer. Engineering makes our lives easier, music communicates with our soul. So it seems to me, it is a matter of complexity and level of understanding. Music is high level, as complex as the man. Even more. So much combination, so much variation, so much beauty and expression. There is no end to what we can get. Real engineering is low level, we have been able to hitherto build many layers of abstraction, and we keep building. Even more. There is no end to what we can achieve. Indeed music is not man-made but it has made the man. Man made engineering, but we hope someday it could make us. Isn't it beautiful? This realisation.

A deep learning model to drive autonomously on a simulated track was trained by using a human behaviour-sampled data. The model, which includes 5 layers of convolution and 3 more fully connected layers, was able to learn by cloning human behaviour and was able to generalise response to a new test track. Though the model only controls the steering angle, it can also be extended to control throttle and brake.
