Honestly the "but Peeta wanted kids so bad" line from the Mockingjay epilogue is really funny to me because for three books Katniss has been projecting her desire for children onto a guy who hasn't really ever verbally expressed any interest in having kids, so I do genuinely think the whole "kids vs. no kids" debate happened entirely internally for Katniss and one day she just went "ok, you win, let's have kids" and Peeta's at the kitchen table like"?????? Ok??????"

"would you fall in love with me again?" has always been an everlark coded song and people always give Odysseus part to Peeta but personally, Katniss is more like Odysseus. they both went through a hard journey to get back home and find peace, they both feel like they lost themselves trying to save everyone and going home. Peeta has always been waiting for her, like Penelope, even after being brainwashed

Never forget that Katniss was so in love with Peeta that she considered him the most fundamentally good person in the world. Peeta Mellark, the guy whose main survival skill was literal manipulation and lying, followed closely by beating people to death with his bare hands. She loved him.
