Give me family members that are broken due to outside reasons and due to such they can't be what the other needs. Give me family members who are paranoid and makes it their loved ones' problems. Give me a young caretaker who didn't get to learn who they are and who's life is shaped around the person they had to take care of. Give me a caretaker who isn't healthy not because they don't try, but because they play multiple roles that should be spread out and is the person's whole social circle due to being the only one able to provide.

Give me family members who hurt to love but it hurts more to leave. Give me family members who are broken and their love is broken but it's well intentioned. Give me family members scared of showing affection, give me family members that have an unhealthy relationship with praise and affection, give me family members who don't know how to live without each other, give me family members who treat each other wrong due to selfishness or inability to understand, not lack of love.

Give me families that can't give up on the other knowing how bad the other is because they're loyal. Give me families who hurt each other with hugs too tight, eyes too watchful, hands too hesitant, minds too stubborn, hearts too cowardly, give me broken love. Give me love that doesn't know how to rightfully do so. Give me scared love give me selfish love give me needy love give me cautious love give me stunted love give me love that never got to develop or mature and love that lost its innocence and now is shifty and untrustworthy but THERE.

Give me enmeshed families give me broken families give me spiky but remorseful families give me families that are too close or too far give me families that are wrong and give me families that are doomed. Give me families that could've been better but now are unsalvageable. Give me families that tried their best but they couldn't be good.
