a pause, as he’s about to boast that obviously it was HIM, he’s his own favorite resident of anywhere .. but he closes his jaw with an angry snap as the question is continued.

grumbling under his breath, the sheriff huffs and rolls his green irises before begrudgingly answering.

“ gah, i dunno ... they all seem like a bunch of - children, in need of constant protection and saving ! ugh .. ” his whiskers twitch in annoyed thought.

mao mao opens his mouth to respond, but upon further thinking he closes it, white fangs gnashing against one another.
